The radio station here (south florida) just got around to playing the single "wrong" about a month ago. I was amazed at how bad it was actually. They have added it to their regular rotation though and when I'm working out I don't change the station so I tolerate it but it doesn't sound much better than my first listen. Makes me think if I recorded myself taking a piss and could find a radio station to promote it and keep torturing people by playing it, they too would tolerate it and perhaps grow to enjoy the sound of my piss.
I have not listened to the rest of the record though and probably won't. They are playing here the last date of the tour, Sept 5th. I have heard they do a decent live show and I will go if I can get better seats then the shitty ones left on ticketmaster.

Very disappointed with this album. Forgettable. Other than WRONG, which is an instant classic. A few notable songs. "Peace" will be controversial. Sounds like Erasure doing the Beatles. Come Back is strong. Hold to Feed is danceable.
But the album is really missing the bombastic, melodic, tracks that would rock live, other than Wrong.
Sad to say, a step back from Playing The Angel.
I thought the same thing when I heard "Peace". Sounds like they wrote it right after listening to "Across the Universe".
"Wrong" and "In Sympathy" are the only two I'm listening right now. I don't know that there's anything else on this album that can pull me in. It's weak for Depeche Mode.

I can't believe people don't like Wrong. I think it's one of the best DM songs ever. In Sympathy is one I don't care for at all. Peace is good. Come Back I like a lot. Perfect pretty good. In Chains is a cool song.
