i hate that saying "voice of a generation" what arrogant bullshit, i bet thats self-professed, he doesnt speak for me, i dont hate his music, some of its pretty good, but what hes saying doesnt mean shit to me. just because hes one of the biggest names out there doesnt mean the world should stop, listen, and worship what he has to say. everything he has said candidly is all about him and how great he is. fuck him, and if he cant rise up and create something truly inspiring with the death of his mother than i question his heart and his willing to keep giving to the fans that have made him rich.

The production is amazing, but overall I'm not feeling this album.  Like most people, I'd rather hear some hip-hop over this, but Andre 3000 switched it up a few years ago and created a gem.  I'm not quite sure this is a gem.

Kanye is a piece of shit.
I loved when he got booed off stage @ bonnaroo and most of the "real" musicians and artists that were there were making fun of him.
rap is not music folks- it is entertainment.  It may be talented in some cases...but it is not music.
please do not confuse the 2.

He sold out - he's not hungry anymore.  His first album was genius - the 2nd was very nice as well, then the 3rd - fuck, I didn't even buy that shit.  Now the 808's and Heartbreaks.....I just don't know....

The man is gifted - but the man needed to remain humble.  He's spat off at the mouth way too much lately      and people have taken notice....

i dont listen to rap, im not gonna badmouth it by calling it crap, i agree with the statement that he isnt hungry anymore, that plays a huge part in the success of music, especially rap because of the propensity to fall into the glam lifestyles and lose the drive, reason you see so many one hit wonders
 
in my true and honest opinion i believe rap takes musical talent, from a lyrical sense, using a drumbeat machine and spinning records takes talent from a rythmic standpoint, but to be truly musically talented, you need to be playing an instrument, and i do not consider a drum machine or spinning records to be intruments, i saw a n.e.r.d. video recently and it showed them as a band, all playing instruments with pharell singing, now i dont know if they actually play the instruments, or if thats considered rap, but that seems like something that takes talent, from a musical point of view
