I see Led Zepelin shirts everywhere. I see people talk about them.

Yet, I still don't see what the big deal is and I don't recognize any of their songs.  Show me one good song by them, and it better not be average!

Your example of mo better or important band in the annals of rock and or roll would be ? I'm not saying they are either, but they damn sure are up there with the 27 Yankees.

They don't have dozens of albums that span decades like the Stones...You can listen to all their studio albums in..idk..6 hrs probably..Do your own homework.

I've heard people say the same about the Beatles, Pink Floyd etc..But they say it like it's a badge of honor..Those people suck.

I just had the pleasure of seeing Robert Plant here in Denver. Dude is old but what a voice, that accompanied with some great guitar riffs made me leave Red Rocks as a big fan. 

Never really liked them all that much when I was young but this is a band that has withstood the test of time.

and Stairway to Heaven is probably an all time top 5 R and R song.

Are you a Custard Pie  kind of guy or more of a Mobydick fan?

I bet there is not one rock and roll fan that has not played air guitar to Jimmy Page and his awesome leads.

It's probably sacrilege to hardcore Zeppelin fans, but I actually prefer Plant's solo work with guitarist Robbie Blunt. This might be my favorite song of all time :

Personally, I don't think it's sacrilege at all.   Plant had many good songs beyond the radio favs.    One of 'em  you already mentioned, also  " Sixes & Sevens", " Twenty-nine Palms", ..    point is Plant did fine beyond his radio favs.


Just goes to show how silly the assertion that Led Zeppelin is  an overrated band is.   This band was ground breaking in rock 'n roll. 

Dont' believe ?  Ask any rock band in the '80s and '90s who helped influence them.
