I'm not trying to be al macho, but after Ridin The Storm Out. Time For Me To Fly, and I can't get enough to this day of Roll With The Changes,......
.......their lovy dovy stuff just was really hard to swallow......
"I can't fight this feeling anymore" (that was difficult to type, and if I ever said that to a girl, I hope she'd punch me......lol
Not making fun, because I am perfectly willing to serve myself up for you guys to slice and dice at will for emabarrassing crap I really like. If we are honest with ourselves, we all have songs (love-ish crap) for us to hammer each other in a fun playful really mean evil way......
OK, when I was young Diana Ross "Touch Me In The Morning" . I had the 45, and I'm pretty certain that I didn't have pubic hair #1 yet, If I wasn't playing Hockey and playing with AFX slot cars, my parents might have checked under the bed for barbie dolls.....
I had some super lame ass 45s.
Someone will remember this one.........
Loudon Wainright
That wasn't embarrassing. I was also listening to Zappa.....Songs like Dynamo Hum, and at that age not having any clue what the lyrics meant, but the music was great. Thank goodness my Mom didn't know either. (
but lucky about it )
Embarrassing shit like Saturday Night Fever, too young to drive, but if I'm old enough to smoke weed, I guess I have to sign my name to it.
Someone has to explain how anyone (me and my friends) can smoke pot and play Zeppelin, Joe Walsh, Rundgren, Yes, and fit Bee Gees in there. I'll rationalize it away by saying we only listened to the f#g Bee Gees because it was being played over and over on car radios, and we didn't ever actually own that crap. We played the cool shit in friend's basement's where we could smoke pot and not be disturbed by stupid things like rules against drinking beer and smoking marijuana at age 15.
I would play Barry Manilow (pre-weed days) on the radio, and not change the channel mid seventies.........
I haven't been around in a few days. Been under the weather, stiil can't talk, but does that guy sugarhouse still hold me responsible for anyone who dare call anything "best" and who I piss him off so much in this forum? ......
Never felt that same bitterness back. I'm sure that silly stuff will fx itself. I saw he posted A "chronological history of his music" thread, and I'm sure it was decent, just couldn't sit up and go through it, but I plan to. Good for reminding me of cool shit that I forgot and stuff I never heard........Any chance to add to the computer/I Pod library..............
Sugarhouse, hopefully all is good, and you get that there aren't arguments here, just talk.........I am going to check out that one thread of yours. I usually keep a working notepad of stuff to download or take a closer look at as far as additional new to me type stuff that I want to add to my music library......capiche?
Mugg, downloading as we speak R.Waters "Amused To Death".
the complete album. I guess it just got finished. I've never owned it or listened to it all the way through........
jmw, got somemore Cure stuff and some obscure guys that did cover songs of "Love Song:"
Damn, I need a beer after that typing/pecking.........Watching Troy.
Brad Pitt is about ready to sword rape Eric Bana.
