Ronnie Van Zant and Allen Collins wrote this song as a warning to guitarist Gary Rossington about his near misses with death due to his alcohol and drug addiction. In a bizarre twist of fate, Van Zant would soon be a fatality of the infamous airplane crash and Collins would become a parapalegic (and later die) as a result of a DUI vehicular homicide. Rossington, however, carries on.

Love the Keys.  They are the show that I'm taking my old man to see this summer.  I try to be selective with the new stuff that we go see together.  It's almost a game with my old man.  He doesn't wanna hear any crap, and I don't wanna take him to see any at the same time.

  Worked with a guitar player from DC back in '06, who got me into these guys.  Been a fan from the early days.  Good stuff.

I am a more of a current fan of this band and I really love their music. Nice that you were into them early on. I have never seen them live have a great time at the show with your dad.
