Some deep cuts that never get a whiff of radio play.  I'll start with 2 classic rock tunes, which happen to be 2 of my all time favorites.....


"Just Got Paid" by ZZ Top
"The Ballad of Curtis Loew" by Lynyrd Skynyrd


"Just Got Paid" is one helluva dirty riff.  Absolutely love it.  "Curtis Loew" is just a good story with some nasty slide.

WTF are you talking about?!?!??!  These get played on classic rock radio every freaking day, so much that they smell. good songs though. You wanna talk deep cuts, then do your homework....when was the last time you heard "Backdoor Love Affair" or "Am I Losing" on the radio.  Go have a whiff.

Down here in the South we hear ZZ and Skynyrd everyday, but he's in New York.  Maybe he hears more Lou Reed and Patti Smith on classic rock radio up there.

Paul Rodgers is known as "The Voice" for great reasons. I'm not a big fan of Silver, Blue and Gold, but have always been a huge fan of his. I've seen him in The Firm (2), Bad Co (1), solo 3 or 4 times.

Check out The Law "Layin Down the Law" and his first solo release "Cut Loose" for songs that are well kept secrets. Also, Midnight Moonlight from The Firm is a fantastic song.

Wow. Crack the Sky! Great band, I'm originally a MD guy. I saw them at Painters Mill in Owings Mills, MD New Years Eve 1983. They were an underrated awesome band!

Apparently I haven't found the good classic rock stations.  It's all good.  Don't know if this is deep enough for the likes of this crowd, but my old man told me a story once, and it was about this song......

Wish I could say the same about classic rock stations in upstate NY.  Classic rock consists of: Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rush, and REO Speedwagon.

I wasn't even thought of when these bands were relevant.  Just trying to shine some light on some tunes that don't get much attention.  Not trying to insult anyone's classic rock prowess.

I could give an endless list of obscure jam band music to listen to, but I don't think you care.  Thanks for stopping by.....
