Who listens to Jazz?

I dont, but I would like to give it a shot. I dont know where to start though. The only Jazz song I know is Take Five. Ive got it on right now and am really enjoying it. Who has a favorite artist/song?

Miles Davis
"Kind of Blue" Best selling jazz album ever. Might as well start at the top.  I like a different Miles' album: "Sketches of Spain."

Not a fan, but I do listen to Jazz vocalists from time to time.Fitzgerald, Armstrong that kind of thing. I find it somewhat digestible. The blow your horn til the guts come out does not do it for me.

I like Stan Getz (for people what Getz it)-2 favs-Pocketful of Stars and Blues for Mary Jane
 
The thing is, there are MANY forms of jazz-fusion, acid, blues, classice....................you just can't nail jazz down to one thing and say "that's jazz!" Mile Davis was epic in his expansion of jazz.
 
My advice, start with the early stuff, and move your way forward.
Check out some jazz selections on tv or Sirius.

Norman Brown, Gelrald Albright, Wayman Tisdale, (yes ex NBA player) Candy Dulfer, Marion Meadows, George Benson . I went on a Jazz Cruise back in 07, It was the BEST time I ever had in life!!
