This used to be the absolute must see event on the schedule. Then they redid the track, and turned it into a min Dover. It wasn't Bristol, but it was at least decent racing. Track decided they didn't like that and ground up the top grove to try to get back to old style Bristol racing. But IMHO after watching the Nationwide race yesterday, this is even worse. The only racing groove is right in the middle of the track, you crash if you go high and just can't pass on the bottom, you can just run side by side lap after lap. So we'll see what happens, maybe the big boys can do something with it tonight. Needless to say, there's money to be made (hopefully!) so I'm firing these out there and will still have a good time tonight:
Johnson +195 over Kyle Busch-Johnson is way in the back which concerns me with limited passing, but I'll take that guy racing a grocery cart at these odds. He'll find his way in the mix some how. And Rowdy is absolutely snake bit lately, so I'll take my chances.
Keselowski -165 over Kenseth-momentum play here, as Brad K is on fire, starts 2nd and runs great here. My guy 17 has been slumping big time since announcing he was leaving Roush. Hopefully I can cheer him on to a 2nd place finish behind the classic Rusty tribute Blue Duece tonight.
Earnhardt -175 over Bowyer-both guys pretty decent here and running well, but Jr. continues to shock me with a consistent top five level effort every week. So I'm sure this is when he tastes the wall with me laying the wood with him.
Newman -120 over Burton-Jeff Burton sucks. Enough said.
Ambrose -120 over Menard-just a bit of a hunch on this one. Tazmanian looks good out there so far and is hot.
That will be it for me. Got some marinated pork chops to throw on the grill and time to start pregaming. GL to everyone tonight!
