I was listening to the show on the nascar station chanel 90 sirus radio.
I caught the end of the segment on this, but saying it could be huge difference and stay away from those cars for a few weeks to see what happens with them

Something to look at is the Dodge reaction. If they aren't super excited to be in the sport, they may throw in the towel for this season. However, I'm going to look at what Dodge says. If they want to be a major contender on a major team, they may look at the rest of the year as an audition, and they could be motivated to have their cars finish well.
Don't forget Keselowski's success at the end of the year last year...it's not like the current Dodge cars are junk.
Some of the tracks on the circuit aren't totally dependent on the car set up. The shorter tracks come down more to the driver ability as opposed to the car.
Last point, the drivers and teams are competitive and they know their jobs are on the line all the time. The people aren't going to work any less harder...if anything they may be working harder knowing they have premier equipment coming in next year wanting to be on Penske's good side.
I'll be watching closely...if they throw some cupcake matchups against the Penske cars on tracks that aren't dependent so much on the car setup, that could be some prime opportunity to back them.

^ Absolutely agree. If we do see a change in performance on the track, it's not going to be instant.
And on a similar topic---Could RPM be considering a move to Dodge? They're the only team that I believe it could be possible for. Obviously just speculation, but RPM would either be 3rd fiddle to Ford or the top dog at Dodge.
