Pocono Discussion (The Most Boring Race Twice a Year)

Not a fan of Pocono races.I do not think think they deserve 2 races there.

Plus it signals start of TNT TV coverage which is god awful

Guys, with all due respect, how can you keep betting on Montoya? He hasn't even come close this year. He had a nice season last year, but even when he was running at the top of his game, he couldn't seal the deal. I know he's still had a fast car several times, but his races have been shit. Wait 'til he wins one, and you'll save yourself a lot of money & aggravation IMO.  Even though I'm still pissed at Denny, he's gotta be the fave here, and if he opens at anything near 7-1 or higher, I'll probably jump right on it. I actually like McMurray's chances though. Montoya's teammate is the one we need to be looking at.  I'm curious to see his odds. He had a great car last week, he's dominated the super speedways. I know Pocono's different, but it still has long straighaways where power's a premium. He's been good on flat tracks. I remember being surprised how good his history was at martinsville. I think he could be a real contender this week. Other than them, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Jeff Burton maybe.

definately surprised to see McMurray unlisted. still waiting for my local's lines. looking at those odds, the field is the only thing I see worth taking before practice, possibly Kasey Kahne at 20-1. He's had some fast cars lately, and this is one of his better tracks. His team's been making a lot of mistakes though. good value on the Childress cars, but I'll probably be waiting until practice this week. I don't see much value in grabbing Denny before they unload. Hope I get odds for the #1.

J.J. @ +500 and Kyle @ +800 is laughable   ....anyone who would make those plays are out of their mind.....Kyle sucks ass here(21.4 avg finish and 1 top 5 since 2005) , I will fade him again this week, and Johnson has never been that dominate here either, with a best finish of 3rd.

Kahne somewhat interestes me @ +2000......Think this may be the week we finally see a Ford in V lane....so Edwards @ +2000 is probaby worth a play too.

Kyle Busch will not be racing in Nashville this weekend, so I think that will help his Pocono performance greatly. He tends to put too much on his plate for Pocono weekend, and he performs terribly here. A focused Kyle Busch may be tough to deal with.

I took Denny at 5-1 b/c that is only going to go down.

Kurt B is worth a look because he is on fire right now and performs well at the track.

It's June now, so that means Tony Stewart will start racing well. 15/1 is always worth a look with him.

I agree not doing the travel to nationwide race will help Kyle.Still don't understand why Edwards is intent on  running the full nationwide schedule
