According to the hour by hour weather channel from Brooklyn Michigan there is a 40% chance of showers at 2pm then 70%-80% chance of steady rain from 3pm until 7pm
then tomorrow steady rain from 10am until 4pm and showers off and on after that.
Hopefully they still get the race in today, wish they would pay attention to the possibility of weather more and move the start of the race up to 12pm EST I don’t get why they don’t do that more for the fans that drive all the way out there especially.

I’m just saying the day before if it looks like it’s going to rain in the afternoon the next day (they have at least a decent idea the day before these days) why not just say “We are moving the race from 230pm green flag to 12 or 1230pm green flag” on days like today when it isn’t supposed to rain until 3pm…that way they at least will get it in officially and most people get their early anyways to tailgate and also have Twitter Facebook etc for the updates…just a thought
I’m sure tv schedules and channel the race is on plays a part too though

I have been going to this race for years and the weather can change on a dime. No way could they predict exactly when the rain will start and stop again the day before. Plus they have driver introductions and a prerace concert planned. They can only push a race up a half hour for many reasons with the main one being television.
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.
