Nothing
is ever a guarantee in sports but 7 months ago I said if the Thunder make the
playoffs healthy they will be an
absolute force to be reckon with. This team has so much talent but they haven’t
been healthy come playoff time for 3 straight seasons, after appearing and
losing in the NBA finals with an inexperienced team in 2012.
Kevin Durant and
Russell Westbrook are the best players in the NBA without a ring, making them
in my opinion the hungriest team in the NBA. Everyone knows they have size, but
most people don’t know they are one of the best rebounding teams in NBA history this
season. Size matters in the playoffs and it’s showing big time.
When the
Warriors (or even Cavs for that matter now) are hitting their 3s, they can win
despite any matchup on any given day. But when shots start to miss – OKC has a
big advantage with extra possessions.
They have the momentum
coming off Sunday's victory and a size/length disparity that Steve Kerr hasn't
answered yet. Golden State's only chance to win in Okc is game 6, if they put
together an impressive game 5 win. I am not worried about game 4, I am more
worried about game 6 if golden state goes in with momentum and OKC having the
pressure to close it out at home.
Golden State will be ready
tonight and will try and slow the game down, it's the only thing Kerr can
respond with here. Okc will be ready as well and will win in a slower paced
game.
Thunder +7 (last leg of
yesterday's tease)
Thunder +110 (2x)
Okc/Gs under 222 (1x)
Playing both of these smaller, up a ton right now in the
playoffs with a lot on the line in futures. Scaling it back a little here.

LC, that was some amazing trend you pulled out from your behind for game 3. Unbelievable! All the pundits wondering what in the hell happened, and you had a trend that basically said the Warriors have less than 10 percent chance of winning a game where they were two point favorites. 3 days off, after a blowout win, spelled doom for the Warriors, and they certainly looked like they were sleepwalking. According to stats I read this morning the Warriors got better shots in game three than the previous games, and their misses were a statistical anomaly, having less to do with what the Thunder were doing and more to do with the Warriors mindset (which your trend correctly predicted).
Another thing to consider, Warriors are 4-4 in games ref'd by Scott Foster in the playoffs and something like 21-4 with all other refs. That is also an insane stat. No Foster tonight (thank god).
Anyway, as a Warriors fan I've had a bad feeling about this series since day one (as you know). Whoever wins tonight, wins the series.

Agree with your analysis....though if Golden State loses tonight, I wouldn't be as worried about a game 6 in OKC as you are. I see the injuries to Curry and the near issue to Green as a reason to check out mentally if they lose tonight. Green is a bit of a bully and when they get stood up to as the Thunder has so far, they tend to shrivel up and go away.
I've got OKC at +750 to win the title after they beat the Spurs, so I am hedging tonight and taking the Warriors, as this to me is the game that they could conceivably lose and NOT win the title. In my opinion the Thunder are a far superior a team to the Cavs.
I hope I lose tonight's game and you're a winner.
Good fortune going forward.

Thanks buddy, gl tonight. These teams matchup with each other very well. Even when GS went 3-0 against them in the regular season, OKC had double digit leads in all of them and were leading through 3 in all of them as well. Even if OKC wins tonight though, I won't count out GS completely, they are that good.

LC, I've been saying it too but I'm just not completely sold YET that the back to back losses come tonite. It will happen, I just thought it would be later in this series but tonite has all the makings of it happening brotha. I can't really disagree with ya here. Public is fixated on the dubs and people think that becuase dray is playing and not suspended that it's a godsend and it's the dubs all the way tonite. Not so fast. I'm leaning hard on OKC, especially given that there is a way to pick them to cover with dubs winning by 1. It doesn't happen all that often but in a game this big and a ML For the dubs looking as sexy as it does (-120), it's possible. Also, with the Cavs losing two in a row, many may think that no way, it happens to dubs now....it's interesting that OKC is only favored by 2 here; doesn't make sense considering they are up in the series and tough at home. Honestly, I think the wrong team is favored here. We will see but great post buddy. I like that under too. GL amigo

I like your writeup and it's also the only way I can see this game. I have to think Vegas loves the "GS hasn't lost 2 in a row all season" trend along with Draymon playing for automatic GSW $ coming in. This reminds me of The Spurs undefeated home record which had to end as well. Those trends exist to be broken and I think The Thunder are the perfect team to break it.
We never lose. We either win or we learn.

I played OKC game 3 even alternated the spread for them to -4.5 I knew it was a bad spot for gsw. But today I will up the spread for gsw to also -4.5 because if OKC can take one in Oakland then warriors will return the favour tonight. You are betting against a big streak of 12-0 off a loss...
Did you not see the way OKC was celebrating after the game? Expect a barrage of 3's tonight with a small ball line up 112-105 for gsw tonight

Congrats LC on an impressive run....joined you b4 the Series started.....it finally seems after a couple of years OKC is living up to their full potential, probably keeping Durant in Oklahoma.....can't see him leaving now....but who knows....BOL tonight..and the rest of the way....

This series has quickly become eerily similar to Warriors/Mavs 2007 (in reverse for Golden State obviously) where the Mavs simply had no answers for everything and anything Golden State presented.
Not only that, but the Warriors have the 73 win burden and as LC pointed out, it's the hungriest team in the NBA with 2 of the top 5 players in the league.
The funny thing is, I think the Cavs would prefer the Warriors in a revenge match-up than a Lebron/OKC match-up where OKC has all the revenge (and is obviously white hot).

LC.............getting way too ahead...but I can't see how the Cavs can beat this team,.......of course they have to close out the Dubs 1st.....which is not going to be easy....

Solid call, LC. Missed the thread but went OKC earlier this morning regardless. With the way they're playing right now, I don't think the Cavs can match them, either. That's if, of course, OKC closes out GSW in the next one or two games.
What's your opinion on the Cavs/Raps line? Are you bothered at all by the +10 points on the Raptors?
