Nope, 2015-2016 Warriors are much better than 95-96, but LeBron is just too much to handle. End of discussion. I think Bulls would struggle to avoid a sweep.

You got to be trolling son, because nobody is that stupid. That Bulls team was probably the best defensive team in NBA history with Jordan, Pippin, and Rodman. They were a lot better than this Cleveland team was, and they had several offensive weapons off the bench. Even with it being a different league and athletes today have many more tools to make their body's better, Bulls with the series 4--1

bullls would have swept both teams or at worst 4-1
Atlanta Hawks would sweep the Bulls. Much more athletic, better defenders, better scorers. Athletically far ahead and Bulls wouldnt be able to hang around even based on fatigue.

Better than this Cleveland team by far yeah, but so was this Warriors team. The Warriors team is far ahead of Cleveland, its not even a question. But again, theres no1 close to the level of LeBron and thats why they won. Cleveland are absolute trash. This would honestly not make the playoffs without LeBron but with LeBron they are capable of beating the best team in history.

Best defensive team in history? Have you even checked their defensive rating? https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CHI/1996.html
Bulls defensive rating is 101.8 and that is with all the so called physicality being allowed. They average 22.0 fouls per game. In contrast the 2015-2016 Spurs have a defensive rating of 99.0 and only commits 17.5 fouls per game despite the league being "soft".
The Bulls are an excellent defensive team, but to call them the best defensive team of all time would be a stretch.

Please, a 2 time back to back MVP playing like this? Are you kidding me! OK, you say he never recovered from his injury but does that explain his great lack of on court decisions? Steph, is going to and should take a lot of heat for this !!!

People are actually arguing that this GS team is better. Is this the real world They gave up a 3-1 series lead. That Bulls team would never have done that, not in a million years

I'm not going to make any excuses for him... but the fact is he was injured down the stretch. An injured athlete is simply not as effective. I will let his play next season tell the story.

This has to be the dumbest comment I've ever read. The basic premise behind defense is preventing the opposite team from scoring. If you allow more points per 100 possessions with the benefit of "physicality" etc., compared to a team which fouls less and allows lesser points per 100 possessions, how can you be considered the best defensive team in history? What do you judge them by?

Its not a matter of "giving something up" its a matter of LeBron TAKING it as he pleases. Bulls could have a 3-0 lead, but against LeBron what is that worth? Lol. Its worth garbage.

At the end of the day, the intangibles may not appear under the stats of players, but it would certainly appear in team stats. If defense is just "intangibles", then it should show up in points allowed per 100 possessions. So if a team has more "intangibles", then they should allow lesser points per 100 possessions.
