On a side note, does anyone know if there's a way I can be notified by covers when someone post in a thread that I started? I feel like I have to keep checking my threads and refreshing the page to see if there are new posts...

I think there is only a notification for blogs... Start a new thread each day. It's tough for others to follow when you have like 20 pages in one thread. Just saying.

trinimike i'm thinking the same as you about the reverse line movement... i've seen it happens many times so i started betting it.. tonight there are 3 plays ATS (ATL,NO,CHI) and now you made me see the over in CHI
just wanted to ask - for how long you been tracking this system? 4 plays today that fit the system... I'm having hard time imagining that all 4 are winners...
so that's my Q.. wether % are high or low on reverse line movement.. (yes, i know we all check it in this thread)

I'll check these out and get back to you on my thoughts on these...
yes your making sense! i agree with you on all the nba and the marshall line...where did you see the public jump on seton hall +10 instead of stay on louisville -11 like they had been bc the -10 for lousiville would make it more attractive

That's my point, I didn't see it happen either way because I just looked at the line a little while ago when you mentioned it. Had I been looking at it move and the percentages moving all day, I would have a better idea of what's going on. I don't really like to just look at where a line opened and where it is now and then look at the percentages. I rather follow them for a few hours, 12 if possible. Or in NFL I look at the throughout the week.
Right now I'm following G bay under, Texans, and Texans under because they look like good candidates. I wouldn't call them picks until I see those moves confirmed on Sat or sun morning.

You're right, all 4 probably won't be winners. but as long as 3 of 4 hit we're still in the money. Even if 2 of 4 hit today, that's not horrible.
To be honest if anyone has been following my plays since day one even if they go 0 for 4 today, thay'll still have a nice profit.
I've been on a nice streak, who knows how ong it will last, who knows if Vegas sets these things up to look like reverse lines every once in a while?
I haven't been betting this way for long, but I've had my eye on it for a couple years now.
I found some results that say reverse line movement betting should be a sure fire way to go, If you can read the lines right. Here are the winning percentages by sport: At Least 60% of Bets on Side, Reverse Line Move of at least 1 point
League W L P Pct Units NFL 2008 18 13 1 58.1% 2.83 NFL 2007 155 130 9 54.4% 18.62 NCAAF 2008 137 106 8 56.4% 17.51 NCAAF 2007 227 156 4 59.3% 49.49 NBA 2007-8 221 182 6 54.8% 18.89 NCAAB 2007-8 272 203 11 57.3% 42.04
I found these as well as a cool article here: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/75539-sports-betting-handicapping-reverse-line-movements
GL tonight. Like I said earlier, the plays I really like are Orlando and Dallas, Hornets I'm on the edge about... Starting to like Bulls over more and more s the day passes. So I guess really I have 2 picks and 2 leans.

trini, quick question. why mavs ML? i can see points but ballys straight up. good luck though
Ummm, because it's my birthday, I had a huge weekend on NFL, I was on the losing side of the clippers winning streak, so I feel they owe me money (LOL) and because I'm a gambler(read degenerate), not an investor in sports betting.
Like I said, that's my personal play, not based on line moves. I'm also dying to put something on the Spurs game and Cavs (Kyrie is a personal friend of mine), but those are just BS plays for the fun of it. The 2 real plays 2 night are Magic and Mavs, with strong leans on Hornets and Bulls over.

i have t openig at 49, at 47.9 now, but 72% are on the under. So that's not reverse. Yesterday when I checked, the line was moving down, but 65% were on the over... That's why I'll wait close to game time to see the last min moves before I make a call. Also why i prefaced today's picks, because I'll be too busy tonight to put in picks.

I'm stepping way out of my comfort zone and making 3 picks today and I'm making these calls well before gametime which isn't the right thing to do. But today's my birthday so gonna be busy and I'm feeling lucky!
I'm lookinh at Hornets, magic and mavs... lines haven't moved a full point yet, but I expect that they will so I'm gonna pull the trigger early and lock in the extra half point in my favor...
I don't like the fact that I'm making 3 plays because I'm setting myself up to mess up my good record, but I call it as I see it. I would have to say my strong leans are magic and mavs... just for the hell of it, I'm personally putting a lil something on mav
