There's another thing I look for, and that's "late movement for no reason" meaning within an hour or two before tipoff, the line moves a point or two one way or the other (spread wise, I don't pay attention to this in terms of O/U) and I noticed Clippers moved up a point in that timeframe, and Lakers have moved up .5-1 point in this range...Keeping an eye out on that game because I believe that whoever has insider access to the locker rooms, or is watching shootaround can get a stronger vibe of which team looks better than the other, which is significant.

I look for the same things. Was leaning Bucks -1 today and the line drops to a pick em when I went to place my bet. I ended up laying off it and there's still a lot of time left, but I have a strong feeling Phoenix wins.

mjsquire, I applaud you for laying off. The lines may move a couple points, but it's obviously nothing guarenteed. The BIGGEST thing to gauge is your GUT FEELING. That is just as significant in my opinion as seeing awkward line movements. Well played sir, wait till it feels right inside, and pull the trigger.

Makes perfect sense to me Animals - almost always significant like going 'round the saddle barn, paddock, jockey's locker-room, etc. to take the temperature of the contestants - can tip off just who's most ready willing and able to wind up winning.
i'll learn my lesson soon
