Wizards are now way undervalued (some of you are aware I was against them the other day and had the Kings)...mainly due to being 3-19 on the road this year combined with a bad loss to Sacramento.....However.....
Wiz are 7-5 last 12 (return of Wall), and are only losing by an average of about 5 ppg during that stretch. Playing very good bball.
Memphis started 12-2, but is just just 17-13 since the end of December and are also 7-5 last 12. They just traded their best scorer which basically signifies to the team the management has no faith in them going anywhere this year (yes, they would have had to trade him at years end anyway). Just got smoked by OKC and I seriously doubt they really get up for Washington.....
Both teams are top 10 in points allowed (Mem #1, Wiz # 8), both teams are top 10 in rebounding (Mem #10, Wiz #8) and, these 2 teams are almost the 2 worst teams in the nba in scoring the ball....Mem 28/30 and the Wiz 30/30 ......Yuck
These teams are moving in different directions. I expect Memphis to be very sluggish (especially on offense without Gay) and the Wiz to come out and play hard against a tough west coast opponent. rare game where both defenses are "better" than both offenses. Of course, this is the nba, so Memphis winning by 40 isnt out of the quesation.
Wiz +6.5 & U180.5
A little on the ML +230 as well.
Also on (smaller):
Raps +3.5
Heat/Pacers U184
Magic/Det O196
TWolves +1.5
bol all
