BOOKED 3/25/13 (110-82-4)
DEN -7: 300(All day I checked every injury report I can find. Ty Lawson AND Wilson Chandler will return Monday to play the hornets. Turn on the game and to my disgust I see Andre Miller in...and the Hornets continue to rain magic 3's all night)
MEM -3: 300(Didn't expect ole John Wall to have a career game)
MIA -12.5: 150(Streak continues, it aint stoppin)
LAL +1: 150(Ha...I said it myself, "starting squad is 0-6 this season"...make that 0-7. Like the 07 Detroit Tigers)
DEN 2H -8: 250(I thought, no way can New Orleans continue to make these 3's. During that 16-4 3rd corner run I felt great. Felt like dumping in my pants after that dude hit back to back 3's)
Well, to say last night was rough would be an understatement. 2nd worst night in my career and I'm not really sweating it too bad. I experienced a few anomalies that you cannot possibly predict, and if you said before the Denver game that a rookie in Brian Roberts was going to pop off 18 assists and NO was going to shoot 14-25...you're lying (they average 6.7 a game and 94 points, DEN has 12 ranked D in league)...any ways, I will be off Denver until Ty Lawson comes back, and then I will immediately be back on them.
Memphis just couldnt catch a break. Riddle me this:
"Already without guard Bradley Beal (sprained left ankle), guard A.J. Price (groin) and forward Trevor Ariza (flu), Wittman announced before the game that forwards Nene (sore right knee) and Martell Webster (abdomen strain) were also out."
Missing FIVE key starters pre game you're going to tell me that you're banking on John Wall catching 2 technical fouls but still having a career game setting it off for 47 points, 7 assist and 8 rebounds? Well congrats nice call
Well, nothing to really say about that lakers game. Kobe, Nash, Gasol, Peace, and Howard really just cant be predicted to beat a top squad on a given night.
Thank god I didnt go flat 500 across the board like I was itching to do, I'd be in a much worse spot. I dont feel like I need to justify much, I stand by my picks and I'd like to think 9/10 my teams win (accept the Lakers, 5/10, clowns) on any given night. I'm not gonna tilt and try and get it all back at once, I'll just stay steady and let my numbers avg out. Note to self DEN needs Lawson, MEM is slightly overvalued at the moment, but can drop bombs with a big crowd at home (sellout home W's =Heat, Thunder, Lakers, Celtics). MIA keeps rolling, Lakers enigma, I'm off their action for a while.
Any way, TNT Tuesday and a lot of big matchups here. Can I still hit the 5K march? Doubtful, but the road to 10K April starts right meow. Probably off the NYK/BOS game; as I love both teams. I would lean Knicks, but somehow Boston pulls miracles at home. They know how to coral big name players, so I'm not too worried abotu Melo. I'd be more worried about how badly they were getting whooped by memphis before the backups almost saved the day.
Liking Lob City (they owe me some serious cash) and MINNY tonight.
