All-Star game O/U line @ 266

Here are the last 5 years game totals:

2006 - 242
2007 - 285
2008 - 262
2009 - 265
2010 - 280

With the all the talent playing in this years game, should it fly over like the rookie challenge did?  What are yalls thoughts?

I will probably take the over and enjoy watching the fireworks.  Just like I did the Pro-Bowl and the Rookie Challenge tonight.

One thing is for sure.... If you are the kind of guy that bets these type of games under, then you probabl;y shouldn't watch the game..

yea its the over or no play for me.  I find it ridiculous that people actually bet the under in an all-star game and pray for bricks....

If Dwight Howard didnt play i would be thinking over, but this guy is gonna try to block everything that comes his way,...

don't think you can compare this year's total to previous years because like the rookie/sophomore game, only 3 out of 11 games since inception in 2000 has the game gone over today's line of 254. the only way we can compare previous years is if we actually know what the totals were for those years

Exactly - 2009 the Ov was only 264 and it hit 265..
On another note - Does anyone know what the first half o/u is yet?  The last 4 years it's hit 145, 139, 139 & 138 ... Thinking that may be a safer over bet than full game because they should come out refreshed and ready to play.

The talent in the game, Progression of the game, Big... make that Huge egos, Players watching the high scoring Rookie challenge and wanting to put on a show just as good, etc.

Line is up to 268.5 now.  Since it was the over or no play for me, Im glad I made my bet last night.  I wonder how much more it will go up by tomorrow.

Nope they will usually put on a show in the first half, and in the second half they will play defense and try to shut the other down.

depends on where game is played and since it's in LA  this year where all the stars will come to watch !

OVERS easy way overs but i would keep it husssssshhhhhhh

in here !

when played in other cities that are small market  like one year in Denver it was way under !

the refs are like locking whistles up very few fouls called unless they are blatant !

THEY will let these all stars shoot em up and very little defense will be played !

if u want bricks watch the carolina/bc college bball game, the o/u was 151... not sure if they will get 80.

should go with the over in the first half... defense gets played in the last 5-7min in the 4th qtr..

That's a little higher than I had hoped for.  These guys won't move quite as swiftly as the rookies (look at the bigs).

Over 135 first half.
Under 133 1/2 2nd half.

They usually at least attempt to play defense in the 4th.

i agree with the 1st half over because they actually start playing a little defense in the 2nd half, especially the 4th cuz they actually want to win
