The Heat and or Spurs are going to make game adjustments based on the fact that Heat bettors are going to be chasing their money?
I can imagine Pop's huddles, "Guys, Heat bettors are chasing their money...let's go out there and win one for the sportsbooks..."

Wait, so Pop won't be mentioning the fact that Heat bettors will be chasing during his pregame speech? So the outcome of the game won't have anything to do with whether or not Heat backers from game one will be or won't be chasing their money in game two?

Oh, ok thanks, RP333. I wasn't sure if NBA coaches gameplan around the betting percentages or not. The title of this thread along with the opening comment made me think that perhaps they did. I couldn't wrap my brain around why in the world it mattered who was going to be chasing their money until it donned on me that the coaches probably mention it to the teams during the timeouts.
I have no ducks in these waters. This is more about me trying to understand how people think. Mainly out of curiousity.

To which my point was, why does it matter?

You suggest that because Heat bettors will be chasing, that they are going to lose. But when I asked you if the fact they are chasing will have any impact on how the game is played you acknowledged it won't.
Do you see my confusion?

The fact is that Spurs won and covered game one. Based on that the OP feels, with his hatred for Lebron, that Spurs will win again.
If you see differently you should state why rather than trying to walk the OP into hanging himself trying to put words into his mouth.

No where did he say that. You are, in fact, putting words in his mouth. This discussion merely centers around Heat bettors chasing their money.
rather than trying to walk the OP into hanging himself trying to put words into his mouth.
I am actually going out of my way not to put words into his mouth.
If, as RP333 has mentioned, players nor coaches are going to be concerned with whether or not Heat bettors will be chasing their money, then I don't see how the fact that they will be chasing will result in a Spur win and cover.
I want that implied causation to be explained. To me it seems like voodoo science.

I must have missed it somewhere. Can you point me where RP333 said that coaches and players do have an affect knowing that bettors will be chasing Miami?
I think you know it as much as I do that he is merely assuming that bettors tend to chase their bets by usually doubling up on the next game with the same team they bet and lost previously while blindly not taking much into consideration besides the fact that Miami will show up with more urgency this time around. Is that a fair assumption?

... he is merely assuming that bettors tend to chase their bets by usually doubling up on the next game with the same team they bet and lost previously...
Yes, this is what he said.
... while blindly not taking much into consideration besides the fact that Miami will show up with more urgency this time around.
If this is what he is implying, I still don't see how this means those bettors will lose.

I know, I had a good laugh too.
Without realizing it, you are thinking in the same simplistic terms as those who you are supposedely betting against.
