Who the F*ck came up with this line?

Is it really that easy to take +17 with Sacrapmento?

my book local has utah -15 1/2....i think ima go up there and put a unit on it

I can't see Utah winning by less than 20, but the way things have been going in the NBA lately, you never know.

Well, someone posted a thread saying today is the funeral and viewing of the owner.  Okay, not disputing that this will add emotion to the game, but ... weren't the Bulls supposed to win last night because they visited the President?
 
No doubt the Jazz should win this one, but +16.5?????  I am taking the Kings with the points.

At home the Jazz have won by no less than 10 in the past two season against the Kings. Jazz is rested, we all know how good they are at home. This is a b2b for the Kings on the road, they won against the Clippers last night in a close game..
The Jazz really have more (discipline?) than say Lakers when it comes to playing lower tier teams in that they don't usually play down to their level, or just go through the motions.

You also could add that the Kings were the team that a fragile Suns squad put a 48 point beatdown on earlier on this season; ask yourself if the Kings are much better off since jettisoning Salmons and Miller while adding the likes of Gooden and Will (The Thrill) Solomon?

Couldn't agree more with Bator on this.  Added Utah to my card already, posted my thoughts in my thread.  I think this line isn't inflated at all.  Look at the past few games Utah has had at home.  They have dominated stellar teams time and time again, the Kings coming into an emotional sold out arena after Larry Miller was put to rest.  Last time these two teams met, No Boozer, Kirilenko or Miles and Utah still won on the road and they suck on the road.  Utah wins this and cover the spread with ease.  Stay away from the Kings.  Best of luck gents.

Actually quite a good estimate, many people may laugh at the fac you are predicting a spread of 28-30 but this could easily be a 122 - 84 ball game...easily.  I don't suspect Sac to win even one quarter.

not sure if it's wise to follow someone elses especially when you have to switch from playing one to another.  I think it's best just to stay away.

I agree with ya guys about Utah winning by more than 20+

IMO, sactown at +17 is just begging for action. Im just curious if the masses on covers will fall for the cushy points at +17?  

Im also looking at playing the 1st half -9 utah.

The Sacramento Kings have the worst record in the NBA at 13-47.  They're barely capable of winning the occasional game, and they've become totally incapable of winning two games in a row.  The Kings have one winning streak on the season, and it happened within the first three weeks of November, before the league and the Kings themselves came to realize the depths of their true awfulness.
 
The Kings began the season by losing all four games of an East coast road trip.  They returned to Sacramento for a four-game homestand and won their home opener over Memphis.  They won their next two as well, and after beating Golden State on November 9th, their record stood at 3-4, and that was as good as it was going to get. 
 
Their next losing streak of three games was snapped with a shocking upset at New Orleans as 15.5-point dogs.  Trying to make it two in a row, they returned home and got buried by Portland, 117-96.  That loss to Portland began an 8-game losing streak that the Kings finally snapped when they shocked the Lakers on December 9th as 12.5-point home dogs.  Unfortunately for them, they had to play the Lakers again in their next game and lost.
 
Exactly one week after the great upset of the Lakers, the Kings were crushed in Portland by 32 points.  That triggered a 6-game losing streak that included Sacramento's most humiliating loss of the season, a 108-63 embarrassment on their home floor against the Celtics.  That was their sixth straight loss, and following that, they absolutely HAD to show up for their next game, which was also at home.  They were lucky in that the next opponent was the Clippers, but all the Kings could manage was an unimpressive 92-90 non-covering win. 
 
Three days later, the Kings began an East coast trip but again failed to win back-to-back, losing to the Pistons in Detroit.  That began their fifth losing streak of the season, which lasted five games until they surprised the Mavericks at Arco Arena on January 11th.  Then in their next game........destroyed.  The Magic came to town and blitzed the hapless Kings with an NBA-record 23 three-pointers in another hugely embarrasing home loss, 139-107. 
 
Following a win over Golden State, the Kings began their second 8-game losing streak, a streak they finally snapped with a life-or-death overtime win at home over Oklahoma City.  Unfortunately for the Kings, they had to play the very next night in Phoenix, and they brought absolutely nothing to that game.  They showed up in uniform only, getting taken apart by the Suns, 129-81.
 
That latest disgrace in Phoenix kicked off yet another losing streak, this one lasting six games, and finally ended when the Kings won a rare road game against the equally pitiful Memphis Grizzlies.  The Kings had to play the very next night and got bombed in Dallas, 116-95.  That loss against the Mavericks began their eighth losing streak, one that they snapped last night at home against the Clippers (thank goodness for the Clippers, right?). 
 
And so here they are again, the Kings having broken a losing streak and trying again to make it two wins in a row.  Since their only winning streak of the season back in November, the Kings are 0-9 when attempting to start a winning streak.  They went 3-6 against the spread in those nine games.  If you throw out the two games where had two days to rest and prepare (December 12th at the Lakers and January 2nd at the Pistons), that leaves them with a 1-6 ATS mark.  If their attempt at starting a winning streak followed a losing streak of at least three games, that leaves them with four huge blowout losses:
 
117-96 at home vs. Portland
 
139-107 at home vs. Orlando
 
129-81 at Phoenix
 
116-95 at Dallas
 
 
 
It looks like for a team as bad and poorly-coached as these Kings, it takes everything they've got to snap a losing streak, and unless they've got a couple days rest to get ready, they simply have little left to give in their next game.  And tonight they'll be playing with no rest again after snapping a losing streak last night.
 
 
Newly-acquired Rashad McCants said after last night's game "We need to cherish the win and hopefully tomorrow we will go to Utah and get another one."
 
 
He didn't sound too convincing there, did he?

If you think this is the case, why not take the 1H line at -10?  They'll be up around 15 or 20 at half.

The last time the Kings visited the Jazz in Utah, I laid 11 points with the Jazz.  The game was tied at halftime at 50 apiece.  The final was 120-94.
