It depends on what you are willing to risk really. Gambling must be looked at the same way you look at stocks. Would you buy alone or ask a broker to help you decide??
If you are new to it I would always advise someone to help you along until the training wheels come off. Covers is a great way to meet such people that are willing to help you for free. Too bad broker's don't have forums like this eh??
anyways, its an investment no matter how you willing to slice it. But I can tell you that Money management like everything else in investing is and should be your best friend. Over the long haul it is best to invest in gambling with someone that is hitting at least 55-60% of all their picks. If this person is you then invest in your own picks. If you are not hitting at this range then you are losing money, and should follow someone who is a consistant winner at this range all year long, and if it happens to be someone that charges you money for it. Then so be it. But just make sure that your return is at least hitting winners at this range and your bankroll adjusts and off-sets for the cost for these picks.

While I do agree with what you say, it is also the way the world works, not too many people give away things for free anymore. That said if someone really is doing well then they usually charge for it I guess. And I agree with you that it is hard to hit at that range all year long......but hopefully your 0-4 days are off-set by a few 4-0 days as well......I myself paid for a service once years ago when I first got into sports betting. Cuz I didn'y know shit and wanted to make quick money.....The guy was hitting a decent 62% in NFL and NBA, but I was still losing money.....wanny know why?? Money management. It has taken me years to figure out that this is the only way to win at this game.....That and hitting 55-60%
Good stuff Kopono, I can tell you know ur shit.....Who you taking in MNF tonight?? I love the Vikings here at this line
