Westcoasttrojan: It's not a cop out. It's not all Mike Brown's fault but the NBA is as much scheme as it is talent and the Cavs do not have the right gameplan. The Celtics have to be amazed at how easy the Cavs are making it for them.
But LeBron can't take 4 shots in a half and become a statue around the 3 pt arc. They are a lottery team when that happens.
You would think once in awhile Mike Brown might post up LeBron with his size and ability near the basket not to mention his passing ability when he gets doubled. You would think with more athleticism and a deeper bench he might run uptempo more.
The game starts with a scheme. And the scheme isn't right with what the Cavs have.

Do the Cavs have talent? Sure. But like I've said all along its skill that matters. Talent can quit on you when its down and it takes skill to fight back. His shot was way off last night. The celts ability to get strips and take charges kept him out of the lane. Sure he should have gone to the lane more but it wasn't as easy an option as it is usually. The only option he didn't use last night was his post game.
If Lebron had a bit more skill then he would have more scoring options such as a reliable mid range jumper, backboard jumper, or even set a screen so another teammate can score. Anything would be better than traveling and lowering your shoulder every possession. Playing iso offense and sitting on the weakside will only take you so far.
Alot of posters might eat their words about heart and passion if Lebron fights to win these next two games but my skill statement stands until he shows me something new. And hopefully its soon because you won't be able to outrun and outjump your opponent for your entire career.

Here is Mike Brown Problem... He used a 11 man bench all year and when the playoff starts you only need 8 maybe 9 players and he did not know what guys to have in there... Easy to coach in the regular season not so much in the playoffs! And if you watch the cavs after halftime they sleepwalk in the 3rd quarter starting back when they played the Spurs for the championship!... He makes no adjustments! And the players were s**** alot of blame to hand out.. Players and Mike Brown are all to be 2nd guessed!

As much as I agree Mike Brown is not a head coach in the NBA, Even if he did try and take over, Lebron would say yea whatever, im the coach on the floor, we are gonna play my way and there is nothing Brown can do. None of us know what goes on behind close doors and with the way Browns post game comments are always so much the opposite of James after a loss makes you believe they do not love each other anyway and if Lebron is to stay in Cleveland even if they win a Championship this year, Brown is gone. If Larry Brown does not go back to Philly where is family is, I think he is perfect, they had that deal in place a few years ago for him to be the GM when they already had Mike Brown in place and Larry opted out. Larry would reign in Lebron, run an actual offense, coach up the guys around him and they would be a force for however Larry was to stay their. Lebron needs a Phil Jackson type. Phil basically told MJ and Kobe, your not bigger then the team and they bought in as much as a Superstar will. He needs the same awakening.

this is why i say it falls on management... because Raging makes a good point, here...
when Lebron came into the league, they got Mike Brown because they thought he was a good coach to break in Lebron, since he would let him play, and not try to control him too much...
but then they were forced into a loyalty situation where you want to give him a chance to prove he should get to stay around... well, if they got him for shortterm reasons, they should have cut him loose when they wanted to take that next step... but they never did, and now here they are, having supposedly put together all the pieces to make the run... but they never changed over that one piece from a coach that will stay out of Lebron's way, to a coach that can cohere a team around him...
