Doesn't matter if the smaller guy is guarding him on the switch, he doesn't try to attack the basket on every possession.
It doesn't matter if he makes or misses, try to get to the basket for an easy shot or get to the foul line. 2 ft attempts in game 4 of the finals down 2-1.
Holding the ball at the top of the key, running down the shot clock doesn't help either.

Of course Kobe quits on his team too, who doesn't know that? Kobe will try to go down shooting on every possession, especially when his teammates can't do anything to help him. That's the biggest difference, Lebron being who he is, is trying to rack up assists to non contributing teammates during crunch time with absolutely no shot attempts.
It's absolutely disgusting watching Lebron use that stupid jab step, over and over, against smaller defenders, and then setting for fade away jumpers instead of backing them in or taking them off the dribble.
As davemsh pointed out though, too bad his offensive repertoire is so limited...

His heavy usage last year has caused a decline this season and he is no longer able to take on smaller players as easily as before.

There's no comparison between MJ and Lebron crying Queen or Kobe and Lebron crying Queen. Why?. Lebron Queen is garbage, he's not a winner or a leader. Whoever play with MJ get better. MJ and Kobe are winners, just count the rings. Lebron got the talents around him but he's not a leader like MJ.
