In regards to player efficiency, Boogie is ranked 9th in the league at 26.7 (PER).
The 3 guys together they traded have PER's of 9.97 (Hield), 11.25 (Galloway) and Evans at 15.97.. Now the Pelicans have Davis and Cousins, both in the top 10 for PER. No other team in the entire league can say that they have 2 players in the top 10 of this category. If they can build some chemistry between each other as well as Holiday, this Pelicans team will be ok. They can make the playoffs in 8th spot as any team under 500 can in the West

Boogie and AD are two of the best, they are literally one more player away from being a serious contender
And where are they gonna find this ONE player that is gonna make them a serious contender,unless the GM or coach can pull him straight out of their a ss,it aint gonna happen,even if they wanted to trade to get him,they got no one anybody really wants as trade bait.In my eyes there aint much sense in going all in this season,trading for a guy you don't even know if you can sign beyond this year,if you know your still missing one player from being a serious contender.Either way,your team is not gonna be a serious contender.It would be like selling your car for gas money,either way your right back where you started from.
And if you cant sign him for next year,you just traded away draft picks,and your 1st round pick from this year,then you gotta start the whole re-building process over again from scratch,all for a head case that wont win a thing his whole career.What kinda player the guy COULD be,and what kinda player the guy ACTUALLY IS,and will be his entire career,are two completely different things.It aint like he is just coming into the league,and a team is thinking about drafting him,thinking that he eventually might grow up,or they or the money will change his sh itty attitude.He is the way he is,he aint gonna change,not for millions of dollars,not for his own good,not for anything.He is like Carmelo,their not team players,they don't worry about winning,they just worry about themselves,they're all about them.You cant win with players like that,Carmelo or Cousins will never win a title,ever.New Orl just mortgaged a lot of their future success 1. on a player you aint even sure your gonna have past this year. 2. on a player you don't even know if you can deal with him(cause in his mind,he is bigger then the team)Sacremento got rid of him for some reason,teams usually don't just trade away franchise players.Sounds like a pretty dicey situation to me.
