I expect the Warriors scrubs to have their best game of the series. The Warriors have always been good front runners.

BB i have to hand it to you, you've had a great feel for the pulse of this series, spot on, nails. Kerr finally made the adjustment i didnt think he had the guts to make and i got burned by taking Boston in game 4. I got the Warriors in game 5 as i think they finally figured out how to play this Celtics team in the second half of game 4..
Crunch time 5 of Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Poole and Looney, BOOM! Celtics cant cover enough ground to slow down Curry with that 5. Draymond is the odd man out and rightfully so..

You and a couple of other guys are practically the only people on Covers worth talking to about these things. Win or lose you are always analyzing what went right and what went wrong. We should just pm each other and forget this fucking forum. I hate it. Just wanna have good/fun conversations with people knowledgeable about basketball and this team. Ditto on the Niners as well.
Yes, Kerr’s job is way more difficult than the Celtics coach because he has to continually mix and match guys to get the most effective lineup out there. As I mentioned to you in another thread, unlike the Celtics, the Warriors best defensive lineup is their worst offensive lineup and their best offensive lineup is their worst defensive. It’s a huge puzzle. And I think Kerr has finally figured it out. Knowing exactly which combos to play at what points/situations in the game. If he has figured it out, and the Warriors players, including Dray embrace their roles (which I think they will), Boston is in trouble.

Where does never letting go of a loss fit in with this group?

As I said last night, hats off to your analysis BB. Kerr has always been known for excellent playoff adjustments. I'm getting old so I forget most of them. But I know he benched Bogut in their first finals.

And you can only do stuff like that when you have strength in numbers. That’s what the trolls on here don’t understand. Strength in numbers isn’t about playing 10 guys in a playoff game where they all get significant minutes. You can’t really do that in the playoffs. It’s about having enough good players you can count on to mix and match lineups based on matchups and what the other team is doing. That’s strength in numbers. When they got Durant they had to eventually give up a lot of their depth and became a top heavy team.

"When they got Durant they had to eventually give up a lot of their depth and became a top heavy team."
This is the narrative that is often pushed by the talking heads, who simply just need something to talk about, but it isn't rooted in reality.
Just at Center, at different times in the KD era, we had a combination of JaVale McGee, Boogie Cousins, ZaZa, David West, and Damian Jones. We don't have a single true big on the roster now, and it's killing us.
We era also saw the emergence of LoonGod and we still had a healthy Iggy.
We still had Shaun Livingston, and walking buckets Omri Caspi and Swaggy P. And Quinn Cook, who wasn't much outside of the Warriors, but who used to absolute ball for us.
There's also the Jordan Bells, etc, who all played significant playoff minutes
Not to mention that KD took a 10 million pay cut so that we could sign guys. Then he agreed to a sign and trade when he could've just walked. That trade led to DeAngelo Russell, who was good enough to keep the fake techster SF fans some what interested. When we were ready to move DeAngelo Russell, he became Maple Jordan and the draft pick that became Jonathan Kuminga.
Yeah KD really screwed us over. We didn't have depth because of KD. Now though? I mean, we have Damian Lee and Nemanja Bjelica. Couldn't have had guys like those with that top heavy KD Warriors team. The Warriors can legitimately play 7 or 8 guys right now. Typical of a playoff rotation. They could play the whole roster back then though.
You don't know this team as well as you think you do. And the talking heads you listen to are just that. Talking heads.

Talking heads are just content creators. They have to create narratives. They often pull these narratives out of their arses. When proven wrong, they simply forget the narrative and create another but when they can get enough people to trumpet a narrative,it becomes a thing. Takes on a life. It's not until we peel back the layers that we can separate the curds from the whey.
Even with Jordan Poole emerging, if we were to put a team together with reserves from the KD years and put them on a court against these reserves, the KD era reserves win every single time.

What’s the fuck wrong with you? Are you so insecure in your life that you have to come here and point out everyone is wrong or nobody knows this team or that team like you do? Or put them down for reading articles and studying the game?
Well, you have a right to be insecure, because you obviously can’t read.
What about the word “eventually” don’t you, or can’t you, understand. Eventually signifies something that took place over time. Nobody is talking about the first year with Durant or even the second. I said “eventually.” Go look up the word. Here was there bench during their finals run in 2019:
J. Jerebka
A. McKinne
A. Bogut (washed up)
D. Cousins (a shell of himself)
Q. Cook
S. Livingston(washed up)
J. Bell
J. Evans
And they had 35 year old Iggy starting.
Now please go buy yourself a dictionary and look up words you obviously don’t understand.

What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? Why do you fly off the handle and start hurling insults and cursing whenever someone disagrees with you. It's not just with me. You do this quite often, as anyone here can attest to. What's wrong in your life?

Let's rewind this all. They got Durant and won two Championships. They would've won a third except Durant had a devastating Achilles rupture. They still had a chance but then Klay blows out his knee. It has nothing to do with being top heavy and lacking depth. Name one Championship team is history that would've won with two of their best three players injured.
Would this Celtics team be 2-2 if any two of three of Smart, Brown, and Tatum were injured?
Would Milwaukee would've won last year if Jrue Holliday and Kris Middleton were injured, even if Giannis was still playing?
Would anybody look at these teams and say "Yep, they just didn't have the depth to get it done?" Do you realize how nonsensical it all is. And you get mad at me, and start cursing and hurling insults, for simply stating facts. Why are you so unhinged?

You are not stating facts. You are making up an argument that doesn’t exist. You are a troll. Everyone in the world knows that the Warriors lost depth with Durant. The 2015 Warriors and the 2017 Warriors would have mopped the floor with the Raptors even if Harrison Barnes (the cheap man’s Durant had been injured) because they had a ton of depth. Now get your head out of your ass.

The 2015 and 2017 Warriors? Wait, you mean with Klay Thompson? Are we just gonna ignore the fact that he got injured while in the process of one of the greatest two way games in finals history? Are you saying they mop the floor without Klay Thompson? Now who has their head in their ass? Do you even read this stuff before you post it, or are you to bust rage posting?

Name some names then. I dropped a ton of names of key reserves in the Durant era. If the depth was so much better, name some names.
You keep blaming the lack of depth, even though the fact is they won two titles and would've won a third if not for injury. So while we're at it, while you're naming names, let's also maybe name one Championship team in history that would've still won with devastating injuries to two of it's top three players. I'll wait.
We didn't beat the Cavs without KD and with Harrison Barnes but now we would've mopped the floor with the Raptors without KD, even if Barnes is injured because of "depth"? Ok. Does this fairytale include Klay's injury?

Writeup for game 5:
The narrative in this one is going to be “Boston hasn’t lost two in a row,” but how is that going to help Boston in this game.? I suspect it won’t, and that it will actually help the Warriors. The whole world knows about the streak, including the team that’s 2 wins away from winning it all. If anything, this trend will get the Warriors notice and make them extra vigilant. They know there is no margin for error against this Celtics team. Relax and play a few loose minutes, and the game and your title hopes can be over. Ironically, the same trend might make the Celtics a little overconfident and complacent. They’ve been there and done that against the Bucks and later the Miami Heat. They have also been masterful on the road, something else that the Warriors are well aware of. Now they expect themselves to perform at the same level on the highest stage against an opponent that knows losing this game equals losing the title.
Truth be told, the Celtics don’t have to win this game to win the title. They just need one out of two in SF. The Warriors have to have this game if they want to win the title. They are not losing this game and then going to Boston and winning another one with those rabid fans all over them after having just won a gigantic game on the road that took every ounce of energy they had. It ain’t happening. And the Warriors know that. That’s why I expect them to be the more desperate team come Monday night. I also expect Green to finally put together a solid game. I also expect the other Warriors to step up and help carry Steph in this one after he carried them in game 4. I even expect Kerr go deeper in his rotations (playing guys like Kaminga and Moody if the opportunity presents itself) to wear out the Celtics starters. And finally, I expect some friendly whistles in this one from Marc Davis.
Good luck!
