Brooklyn Nets @ Toronto Raptors (Game 1)

This will be Toronto's first playoff game since the stone age. You'll never hear Toronto's arena be as loud as it will be tomorrow morning. The Nets have the advantage in the series, but no way I'm fading the Raptors in game 1. It will be ELECTRICCCCC and the speed of the Raptors will be too much for the Nets early on. Rookie head coaches do poorly in the playoffs, but they do especially poorly in their first road game. Will Jason Kidd prove me wrong? Doubt it.

I cant make up my mind on this one.....Arena going crazy might not be a good thing for a young inexpirienced team, added pressure..
i fear a guy like Derozan crash completly do to nerves and such... 

My point beeing everything points to an easy Tor win, exept the fact the old guys might get even more pumped from the athmosphere

What im trying to say i guess is i think the pressure will be too much for them, atleast for the first game.. i see BKN taking this one

They'll be no pressure in the raptors in game 1 randy. No one is giving them a shot to win the series. There underdogs (series price) with home court advantage for god sakes. Pressure will take place after they win game 1. Then the nets will have the advantage and win the series IMO

i completely agree with you.  plus, toronto, who had the most amazing  year (besides phoenix-- or the phoenix of the east), is getting punked by vegas and the public as a slight home favorite in game one.  Derozan emerged as a legitamate go-to scorer this year.  And Kyle Lowry came back from his pugnacious best Houston days.  Valincounas is a beast.  Vasquez is dazzling from three off the bench.  And Terrance Ross is a strong player on the homewood.  fingers crossed.  Great following you this year!

I can't find any one, friend or foe who likes the NETS and the points, every one I know is hammering Toronto. This tells me the NETS will win outright or cover lol

Demar is no legitimate go to scorer.

He is a inefficient high usage pkayer hes the first optioj by default really. If this team is take the next step they got to sell him high or find a real first option.

This team will go as far as lowry takes them imo.

Demar is the 10th leading scorer in the association.  Shot 43 percent from the floor-- similar to Paul George, Kyrie...  They won 48 games with him as their leading scorer.  He's also a great foul shooter and gets to the line 8 times per game, sixth highest in the league.  Getting to the line shows aggressiveness.  by comparison, for example, zach randolp only gets to the line 4.8 times per game.  And he'll improve.  We'll see!

Use to think the kid derozan is not that good as well..... he's the real deal... hes one of the reasons why the Raps are where they are at.

LC, your post makes me think you'd lean over. I really like Under the 1st game here. I think both teams come out fast, but miss a lot of shots. When defense settles down, I feel there will be more half court play. Any opinion?
