Really? I think just the opposite. Boston needs to grind it out, esp on the road. I don't think they want to get into a running contest with Chicago given their age, increasing lack of depth, Rondo's ankle, etc etc. If I'm Boston I try to grind these games to a halt. If I'm Chicago I want to fly up and down the court, esp at home. Boston's bigs have the size for the half-court grind, but running up and down I'll take Thomas and Noah for their athleticism. I don't think you want Perkins and Big Baby chasing them up and down the court, esp when those guys will need to log extra minutes with Powe out.
That is the key point. Boston has NO BENCH now. Are they going to play the starters all 40+ minutes? How many minutes are Moore and Marbury going to play? Tony Allen? Bulls are young and energetic. I think the Celtics will put up a fight at first, but slowly fade away as the minutes pile up. How much is Ray Allen going to like chasing Ben Gordon around screens in the fourth quarter of game 6? I put down a big wager (by my standards) on the Bulls in the series, and I feel pretty good about it.

You'd be retarded to still hope that a severely crippled lineup like Boston's can stand the travel + their athletic disadvantage to win against the Bulls. Go Chicago!

the more I think about this game and with how familiar I am with the celtics the only chance boston has tonight is if Rondo is pushing the tempo the maximum the entire game...if Rondo can run full tilt tonight, and pierce and allen shoot well, the celts have a chance....they will need to shoot very well and push the tempo early and get a good lead, otherwise with their inside situation they will have serious trouble....if Rondo doesn't let the game slow down and boston shoots 50% or better that is their only chance IMO...but knowing doc rivers, his substituting will be horrible and his gameplan will be pathetic so in my honest opinion this is a bulls play, over play, or stay away from the game.

robbie, you are totally wrong. Boston needs to slow it down and grind it out. You do not want to get into a track meet shorthanded and gimpy at the UC. Bulls love love love to run at home. If Boston has your strategy the game is over before it starts.

ok...so they slow down and grind it out....they have no big men that are offensively talented....so where is the inside game going to be in this grind out?? so if they slow it down and grind it out they will be depending on jump shooting in a halfcourt set?? Rondo is not a jump shooter...and Rondo is the fastest guy on the court....with no good big men inside why are they going to slow the game down to a slow defensive set when the bulls are on offense?? perkins is a fouling machine, big baby is only like 6-6 and mikki moore is about 200 pounds soaking wet....they cannot afford to get any bigs in foul trouble.
sorry but they need to open up the court with rondo and get allen, pierce and house wide open looks on the fly...tonight if they get out quickly and slap them in the face early maybe they can try to slow it down and control the clock but I can guarentee they will not be trying to slow this to a crawl, they have no size...big physical teams slow things down as you are saying, without KG and powe the gameplan changes.
