a) everyone can have their opinion/angle but ultimately you are just trying to convince yourself, there is no advantage coming into this game - both teams will have had a days rest, both are healthy, motivated etc. Yes Warriors have a bit more continuity (Cavs just got Kyrie back and have had some others coming into/out of the line-up) but both teams are fit and will be ready.
b) obviously Golden State being at home tips the scales in their favour, but..
c) these games usually are very hard to pick, you see a lot of hyped up games like this, only for one team to lead by 10 early and it never gets closer, or the game to be a see-saw with multiple lead changes, or one team comes storming back... I think most will agree these marquee match-ups are never very predictable.
d) and finally, you can talk about revenge factor, home court advantage, momentum, chemistry, health etc. but overall I think this is a very tough one to pick straight up... so if you can get one team +6.5, then to me that seems like decent value. Even a comfortable Golden State lead of 9 and a late Cavs 3 pointer wins you the bet. Cavs would really have to be outplayed big time for this to lose.
Would like to hear some opinions,
Cheers

I can lock in Cavs +6.5 right now.

Covering games since losing to MIL and not looking past them either
Cleveland has played like crap lately, Irving back seems to be messing their chemistry!!
Mozgov, TT ain't hot.....
I appreciate your point mtx, and thanks for your input.
I guess the point I was trying to make is that, regardless of what you have mentioned, these marquee match-ups somehow never go "as planned". You can use all the logic in the world and say "Cavs chemistry is messed up" or "Golden State is on a roll" but this is the NBA. Trends never hold up, teams will always surprise/disappoint. And don't forget, we're talking about LeBron James here, the guy who most regard as the greatest player of this generation (maybe one day greatest ever?) and everyone's been talking about how Curry is the new "king"! How much more motivation could the Cavs need?

I think the OP makes some sense ... the fact GS covered against Utah doesn't mean they will against Cleveland ... and in NBA futures both GS and Cleveland have extremely high chances to win the NBA championship ... in fact I think Cleveland has more than good chances to even win in Money Line and this game will be remembered all the way up to the playoffs in a few months.
I agree with the OP, disagree with those who blindly pick GS - tonight is going to be a huge test for GS, they won a lot of games against weak-medium teams ... Cleveland at its best can be as strong as GS and even better.

dubs will win, but I don't know if they cover. -7 is pretty big considering cavs are healthy now. Weird thing was that warriors have never had a -7 spread at home during the finals when the cavs were unhealthy.

Hey there fellas! Well w/e line is I'm taking warriors. Cavs haven't showed me anything this year. Anyone who has been watching nba since the season started would know pick is gsw. Now not saying Cavs don't have a shot, after all it's sports. Anything can happen. Gsw 3 units

I'm gonna stay off of this game. There's an angle for both sides.
Cavs-the finals revenge factor, Nationally televised game, will look to rise up against the better team, Warriors anxious to drive back home asap for Christmas
Warriors- home game, Nationally televised game, Cavs anxious to fly back home for Christmas(and have the longer trip back home, so more anxiousness), Warriors have been great ATS, Cavs have been atrocious ATS.
All that being said, IF I picked a side, it would be Warriors because Cavs have simply been bad ATS. they didn't cover against the Knicks last night, they lost straight up to the Wiz at home, lost to the Bucks straight up at home, and there's just been way too many games where they won, but didn't cover.

if GS does not by dd I stop betting. Are you facking kidding me? Lebosta sucks for hell. Cleveland can't win away games not beat above average or good teams. they suck for hell

cavs are not flying home for x-mas...they play at portland the very next day...so theyll be flying to oregon after the GS game.

Some of you take ATS records too seriously. You do realize Cavs are typically favorited ATS? Saying "Cavs haven't covered recently ATS when they were favored by 4, 6, 9 etc so they won't cover as 7 point dogs to GS" is pretty stupid. Being favored by 3-4 possessions and being the under dog in reverse circumstances is basically an 8 possession swing so it is an entirely different circumstance.
