Fade a team playing B2B with the second being on the road following an outright win as a dog. I realize the spreads are small and insignificant because the Clip were only getting &#x2B;1.5 yesterday and laying 1 tonight against the Trailblazers. Mind you Portland might end up being the favorite by game time and sometimes we wager out of principal and speculation.This probably won&#x27;t be a popular play with most bettors simply because the public (  SQUARES ) will be the better team ( In this case the Clippers ) with a small spread regardless of the circumstances. This will be the 4th game in 6 nights for the Clippers and the first real road game. I sort of discount the Staples center as a travel situation. Portland playing at home on 3 days rest. I have Portland as well Dimes.

They have had a lot of time to prepare. Especially coming off the blowout loss to Dallas Monday, you know they spent all week on defending the pick and roll and increasing ball movement on offense.

With Tom Washington, I would not be surprised if this way goes 10-20 pts under the total. Also, given Eric Lewis, it should be very well officiated although both guys can toss T's quick. The main thing about these two is that off-ball fouls are much more likely to be called with them usually leading to turnovers and the stagnation of offenses since it kills momentum. It kinda upsets me how often they call travels and illegal screens, but they really are on top of the rules of basketball.

Portland wins if: They do not let L.A. play in transition - they must be kept in their half-court sets. Limit fast-break pts. Portland must outrebound.

Clippers win if: Their bench is able to go on large runs. They need to force a large number of turnovers. Clippers will have a shot at winning if they can attack the paint and kick it back outside the perimeter and shoot a high %.

Running this matchup through my mind: Portland wins this scenario 65-70% of the time at home. Enough confidence to put a bet on it.
