Nice result on opening day. I'm trying to limit my plays to 3 max a day but there are a couple of games I like. I guess I'd have to stick with the what I feel is my 3 best plays.
Sacramento Kings +6.5 I like the Kings' roster now and hopefully they've matured after last season. They've found pieces in every category that should fit their game and I'm quite optimistic for them this year. Bulls lost some pieces but you'd expect them to be the same defensive team they were. They had a better pre-season and like what we saw today, it should translate even for a bit to some sort of success in the early goings of the regular season. Simulation saw a 2-0 win for the Kings with double digit wins.
San Antonio Spurs -6.5 Spurs playing two in a row and may be looking forward to OKC. IMO, Orleans will need a couple more games to get an identitiy going. Spurs will probably run them out with their offense and give the young Hornets a hard time. Eric Gordon still isn't 100% and will probably the Hornets' best option on Offense even coming off the bench. Manu will probably be out as well but Spurs' are still potent on offense. Spurs swept them in my simulation 4-0.
Dallas Mavericks +8.5 Hop on this line before it drops a point or two down. Linesmaker will probably give them lines like these against some "established" teams but man were they looking good in the pre-season and the opener against the Lakers. You gotta love it when the team calls for someone to step up. Jazz are tough on the front court but not as tough as what the Lakers threw them last night. I think we'll see the Mavs' effort win this game for them. Jazz will have to go down low to the post everytime for a basket as I don't see much going outside Hayward and MoWill. Sim gets a 2-1 edge for the road team.
Honorable Mentions: Detroit -2.5 - Your primary offense have barely a week to practice with your team who'll require the ball to go around to be effective so the home team is the way to go here with a mature bunch and a tougher front court.
Pacers -2.0 - Looks fishy with the low line but I think it's due to injury. I think Pacers can still hold the Raps down in D. Lowry will have a field day but the road team will most likely out play the Raps' front court.
Warriors +3.0 - Phoenix on my fade list

Pacers are my only play so far....I believe they WANT to win.
So I put my $ there. GL to you sir
My only future bet in the NBA so far is over 31.5 wins Pistons (not a homer play, here's why). They started last yr 5-20....ended 20-21...they grew up a little. I hope you're right w/ your opening night prediction

I like the 76ers at home over the Nuggies. It's really a toss up but the home team should get it here. They are used to playing with almost the same bunch sans-Iggy. Denver will have to juggle playing time and player combination. Edge on Doug's team there.

MILK, AM I CRAZY FOR LIKING TORONTO WITH THE ADDITION OF THE EURO CENTER, KYLE LOWRY AND A HEALTHY BARGARNI (THOUGH HE HAS THE FLU TODAY) AND DWAYNE CASEY-- THE DALLAS DEFENSIVE MIND BEHIND THE CHAMPIONHSIP-- AT THE HELM. GEORGE HILL WAS OUT FOR THE PRESEASON BUT WILL PLAY IN THE OPENER. NO GRANGER? WELL, YOU'RE VERY RIGHT SO FAR.

Not really crazy man. It could really swing either way so it wasn't on my 3 plays but I do love how the Pacers are maturing. Bargnani has been developing in the NBA well with Coach Casey and I'm excited to see how he will fare tomorrow. Pacers have the better front court but Raps can extend them with their perimeter shooting. I still think the trip to the postseason plus almost the same core of a team the Pacers have will spell the difference. Team Chemistry should be key here.
