Why Clyde? He's one of the greatest and most underrated dunkers ever. Just youtube the guy to see the beauty of human flight.
And why the Blazers?
They are in a 5 game tailspin with two terrible losses before the break; one to the Magic who themselves were on a 12-game skid, and the other a 36-point thumping from the lowly Hornets right before the all-star break.
Are the Blazers really playing THIS bad? No. The Hornets loss came the night after they left it all on the line against the Heat, in a game that was much closer than the 13 point final.
Also, the 5 losses came on a 6 game roadtrip.
It's usually betting 101 not to take the home team the first game back at home (always look to the second game of the homestand after a long road trip) but this is an unusual quirk in the schedule where one home game comes after the all-star break and then it's back on the road to play the Lakers on Friday.
I think the Blazers recharge their batteries here against an awful Suns team (one that is on a losing streak of it's own losing 6 of its last 7) to end this losing streak after letting the embarrassing 36 pt loss simmer with the team and coaching staff for 6 straight days.
The spread? -6.5 is fairly standard in this spot so I think the books are keen to a Blazer bounceback tonight, except this one has blowout written all over it.
Let Clyde guide and glyde you to this pick:
BLAZERS - 6.5 over SUNS

This one goes off in about 20 minutes and is jumping between 7 and 6.5 so if you want the 6.5 to make you comfortable, jump on it NOW. Likely will get to 7 before tip, if not as I type...

1) he was so good that he led the blazers to the nba finals where i believe they might have been favored against jordan's bulls
2) he was so good that the rockets traded for him midseason and the #6 seed rockets went on the finals where they swept shaq's orlando magic
Blazers weren't favored in the series since Bulls had home court but I appreciate your knowledge of the Glyde.
In game 1 Jordan hit 6 threes and did the infamous "I can't believe even I'm this good" hands out head shake and I knew the series was over right there.
His Rockets history is less glamorous and the title came well after his prime. GREAT that he got a ring though...

Win or lose, Scalabrine has been on here for years and has been a consistent winner in both his picks and analysis.
So typical of the small fish to come in here and bite at a big man's ankles if he happens to be off on a pick. Something that happens TO EVERYONE since no bettor in the story of gambling has gone 100%.
Years ago, covers use to have some really sharp bettors posting plays and insight. Just about every single one of them have long since been chased away by the arseholes with big mouths and shallow pockets.
What a shame.

scal, for some reason, 5 dimes is not offering portland -16 for second half, this doesnt happen very often, they almost always offer a line as such. for example , orlando was down 20 at half to charlotte, and the line if u chose to take orlando -20 to come back and win the game was +1000. here, theyre not offering it at all, so i had to settle for portland -8 at +102 odds
lets get a big fat comeback against the worst team in the NBA

tough one for us buddy, i recovered most of the full game with the 2nd half -8 at +102, but still a brutal grind for what should have been a sodomfuck wire to wire.
congrats to phoenix backers, u won betting on the worst team in the NBA with a little or a lot of help from the refs
