Official Line:
SSC-R -16.5 v LPU+15.5
Projected Line for July 25, 2012 (Wednesday):
NCAA Season 88
1pm Game: EAC+13.5 v CSJL-14.5
3pm Game: CSB-4.5 v AU+3.5
Now this gets trickier. The game is billed to be the first ever out of town game for the NCAA and as most out of town games would, the score projection would be whacked. I see the game played around 8-15 points lower than their normal points production would and it would hurt the team that shoots from the perimeter more. EAC will be lead by Cedric Happi and would need to get a lot of help from the rest of the Generals in order to stay within covering distance the whole game. Letran will most likely force the Generals to shoot from the outside and clog the lanes here and with Jam Cortes and Raymond Almazan towering the Knight's front court, it would be a tall task for the Generals to get by. I see the Knights pulling away here in the second half as they'll be converting on hard drives and easy fast breaks. And nobody should overlook the Knights' scheduling as they are supposed to battle the Lions last Saturday, I see their preparations being used in this game instead so expect a tougher Letran team this afternoon.
The second match is a lot more interesting. AU has been a surprise winning their last 2 games with an average of 80ppg while allowing only 60. James Forrester has lead them close to 20 ppg and has been a steady offensive force for the Chiefs. They are also getting everyone on the score sheet with 10/11 Chiefs contributing 3 or 4 of which would score double digits. On the other hand, the Blazers needed almost a week of rest to recuperate facing tough teams in UP and SBC last week. Carlo Lastimosa should also be close to 100%. I don't think anyone have noticed that he's hurting but he should be fine now. I see a gritty game here ending on a toss up. If I were to play anything, I'd love to get on more points for the Chiefs. They match well against the Blazers that if you average the results of their H2H the last 3 seasons, the results would be a CSB win 76-75. That close!
