The break benefited SMC more than any team. They are hella fatigued from the Meralco Series and even prior to that as they cling on to a playoff berth. They are hurt and is evident in their inconsistency. Import Bowles is obviously on the edge in this series (and of course due to Alaska's defense as well). On one end, the break will most likely have a negative effect on the Aces as they will again struggle to find their form as the constant break from league play will come to bite them. Not much to be said in the series, this one's like an open book. Throwing a play on the Mixers because they should be a lot better now that they are rested. It may sound pretty shallow but that's all the angle you can see here otherwise play the Aces. Tim Cone asserts his dominance over his old ball club again.
Ginebra +2.0
Pretty much like the SMC wager. GK benefits more than TNT from the break. They are coming back with a healthier line up with Hatfield and Billy Mamaril joining the fold. Mark Caguioa's return is what concerns me. Ginebra is getting production from different positions and has been sharing the ball well with out The Spark. Now in his return, Ginebra will look to be a lot more predictable running the plays on him. TNT gets enough rest as well but will be withouth Jimmy Alapag. They are parading a 6-5 import (former Rookie of the Year from NBA D-League) and will welcome the Man Mountain back in the fold. The import change for me is a negative and will have a lot of problem with Macklin down low.
