Correct me if I'm wrong, but 1.06 payout, if it's the decimal format used everywhere else, should give you 6 dollars for every 100-dollar wager if you win it. If the payout were 6 cents, it should be 1.0006 <---and I don't think there are any books anywhere that offer those kinds of payouts.
Lay down 10 Large to win $600 at 1.06 sounds more like it. Like buying points. This would frighten the hell out of me cuz 20 point losses do happen.

i know the company you talk of and use it quiet frequently the stratergy with pick your own line is to set the amount you wish to win in a week and work towards that not try and double your money or anything. there are plenty of games each week where it is possible to make 300 a week off 1000 and and only on 3-4 games the point is don't play the 1.05 or 1.06 if your take dallas at +16.5 you can double your odds and if you were to parlay it with rabbits +18.5 allowing for 3 converted tries you would of had $1.3 or more and both are reasonable if dallas lose by 17 it's just as easy by 20 and rabbits were in a good potision last night and were giving alot of points(so on 2 games a week you can make 300) saying you done this every week for the year that's 15 grand lose maybe 7 times you still make 8 grand off 1. Also look for ingame line when blowout games are on such as dallas game 4 v lakers i got lakers +46 for $1.15 at one stage on that company tiny odds but i don't think dallas were going to push there starters that hard in a blowout during playoffs (Look for the situations)

very bad way of gambling dude you will eventually get burned and all that effort all those games paying that much juice will all be for nothing with those bets 1 bet can burn you bad
if you are a controlled gambler who dosent need to play alot of games and get on winning streaks and you want to risk lots of cash why dont you just bet miami at the line and if you lose keep doubling up until you win
i guarantee miami will beat the line this series or you can bet baseball and pick a reasonable pitcher who gets ok odds and keep betting that pitcher to win until he does
see how this strategy works alot better than 1.06 odds but good luck with it anyway hope you never have a heartattack with any of your bigtime bets

Exactly. This is no more or less likely to gain than any other money management strategy. If you had taken the Lakers not to lose by 20 in Dallas you would have lost, and lost big.
It's one of those systems where you can easily claim 20 winners out of 20 (another oft-used approach is to keep betting on a home MLB favourite in a series until you win 1 unit overall). The catch being of course that one loser will cost you more than 20 winners.
But good luck anyway. I fear for you.
One last thing; you won't ever get odds on Dallas to stay within 20 on their home court as you have claimed. You might get 1.01 if you're lucky.
