That will be the headline in the Newspapers tonight.

I used to work for the owner of the Cavs--Dan Gilbert.
Dan owns the Cavs but also owns half of Detroit.
Dan is an extreme competitor and if this game stays close, Lebron will take over...I guarantee this is one of those games on the owners to do list and the whole cavs team has got the message....DO NOT LOSE TO THE PISTONS.
Dan will look at this game as a credibility issue...Dan is becoming "MR DETROIT" and his cavs coming in and beating the pistons gives him clout as the winner in the city whether its a detroit team or not.
Cavs win this game tonight and probably easily...Lebron will take over

Not so fast....one thing to consider.

I don't post much anymore but for this I HAD to. You give us stats for matchups between these teams, really?!?! You really take into account the Cavs team for years past?!?! You guys look at trends and stats and forget that teams change, and this team turned from the worst to the best in one year.
I bet the Cavs 1stQ 1stH and game since they started the run against the Clipps and it's the easiest money I made in my life.

Dan Gilbert will probably be in the locker room before the game and definitely sitting courtside tonight with his family and friends and half of his employee base.
The offices of dan in detroit have probably been going back and forth with jabs for two weeks now in anticipation and dan isnt humble...there are probably numerous office incentives going around right now as we speak. Most of Dans employees are Piston fans and Dan loves rubbing it in their noses when HIS team not only wins but dominates. He is the alpha male of alpha males and he is not shy about it.
Not just a win tonight, but a blowout makes dan feel like the king of Detroit, whether he is investing with them or against them

The Cavs easy tonight...set it and forget it. This will have a playoff like atmosphere tonight...the one game that Dan has to win or he will hear it from everyone that works around him for the rest of the year.
I lived in that environment for 4 years and I can tell you that its even more so now, especially with the re-emergance of the pistons this year.
THIS IS A MUST WIN FOR DAN...TRUST ME.
The cavs -7 is a no brainer to me...but do what you want.

So what happened when Detroit beat the Cavs by 20 this year IN Cleveland?
Cleveland was terrible first half of the year...period. They couldnt find themselves...had no chemistry....different team now...completely.
And remember, they are playing AT Detroit where the cavs have won their last 4....this is Dan Gilberts backyard...he will not put up with the cavs losing IN DETROIT with the way this team is playing right now.
I was in this environment for several years...right in the thick of it...watching all the ribbing going on...the incentives. Dan Gilbert makes this a big deal.
The way the Cavs lost in december in cleveland should be more incentive to bet in their favor tonight...not less. Do you think they want to be embarrassed in front of dan and his family and all of his employees? I will bet most of them will be there tonight and dan will probably have shuttles taking them there from work.
The Cavs will not lose tonight....I GUARANTEE IT...I have only said that one other time on here.

Long time piston fan/ disbeliever. SVG knows what he is doing and has quietly assembled a very good Pistons team. Hate this organization for blowing up the team years ago, but I truly believe this team with Reggie Jackson at the point, Drummond and Monroe working down low and KVP turning the corner and becoming a better player is one of the top teams in the East. Huge value at +7 tonight and i like them to win pretty easily at home. Cavs are overrated , pistons underrated and at home.... Pistons tonight, also really like the heat and wiz

This guy arguing about how the owner of the club will help them breeze through a blowout win against a rising Pistons team is hilarious.
Let's look at his reasoning.
