I think Cavs are too deep with their veteran savvy bench and can match up well against Warriors starters. Its going to be hard to guard lebron in the paint and remember a couple years ago when Lebron was by himself in the Finals after Irving and Love got injured, he carried his team each and every game. Now he has great perimeter shooters and all-star teammates and players that know their role. I don't think Warriors bench and new additions know their role but they definitely have more talented starters.

yup you are correct with your assessment. Cavs definitely have the experiened bench: Frye, Korver, D Will, Jefferson.. it'll be interesting to see what McGee, West, Clark and McCaw bring to the table. guess some fresh blood is what the Warriors need. You also have to remember that Harrison Barnes was godawful in the Finals last year and arent they glad he's gone but it wouldnt have got to that point if it wasnt for Draymond's stupidity. Curry also wasnt 100% either.
So i believe this series will come down to which star gets injured or suspended much like the Warriors benefitted the 1st meeting and Cavs benefitting in meeting 2. Seems like the Warriors have gotten lucky every round not that it would matter much except for maybe the Spurs series but they certainly wouldnt be 12-0 if it werent for some good fortune.

I think both teams win on the road in the 1st 4 games....
I'm really feeling Cleveland money line in game one.
Good luck DK
that would be crazy tough to do to win both road games at the Oracle but who knows. i'm feeling the ML as well despite Lebron James record on the road in game 1s.

so i had a week to think about this game but my thoughts haven't changed all too much..
yes the Warriors are no doubt the better team statistically and play against better teams in the West the numbers speak for themselves. the Cavs have put up good numbers as well(while not quite on GS's level) but it is a little inflated due to playing in the East. that being said.... throw regular season and playoff stats out the window!
for some reason the Cavs seem to match up well against the Warriors in these Finals.. if they didn't shouldn't the Dubs be like 8-1 or 8-2 at best in these last two meetings instead of 7-6? i was watching game 7 of last year's NBA Finals earlier on NBA TV and i saw a Cavs team that hustled for 50/50 balls and never quit. LBJ had an awful awful game by his standards but came up clutch on a few plays and played solid defense in the end, but it was really the play of Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving who came up big in that game 7. Love who was non-existent for both series only to come out of nowhere to have the biggest game 7 of his life grabbing the key rebounds and Irving with the dagger 3 at the end. if it weren't for those two the Cavs would have not won that game.
While many will say Draymond Green's suspension was the turning point of the series and i do agree that it shifted the momentum a bit but that is no excuse. the Warriors had two chances to get it done with Green back. not winning game 6 was forgivable being that it was in Cleveland but the Warriors had no excuse not to win game 7. Green had a helluva 1st half but if Green stayed hot in the 2nd half there is no question the Warriors would have won.

which leads me to this game.. what does game 7 have to do with or carry over into game 1 of these NBA Finals? lots
the defending champs come in here as the underdog again. Oracle Arena is a tough place to play but the Cavs have won in this building 3 times already which is pretty damn good for an East team. The Cavs know what it's like to win here. the only other teams that have as much success winning at Oracle are the Spurs and Grizzlies. The Cavs are playing loose and playing some of their best basketball of the season and they know all the pressure is on the Warriors to perform spectacularly after what went down last year. I am sure the Warriors are still thinking about it and will want to blow out the Cavs in game 1 but does it mean it's going to happen? not always. historically home teams in game 1 usually get the job done, SUATS wise. the Warriors in that case have done just that in game 1 of the last two NBA Finals so lightning will strike again the 3rd time?
as much as i hate to go against a solid trend, i think we see a reversal today. the Cavs have been the better rebounding team overall in the past two Finals and it was the rebounding in game 7 of last year's Finals that gave them a chance to take home the title. Kevin Love's career as a Cavalier has been on the upswing ever since that game 7 performance. He's put up some of his best numbers in a Cav's uniform this season. His performance in the playoffs is definitely an encouraging sign. look for Love to have a good game tonight and help keep the Cavs in the game.
Everybody is thinking the Warriors have already gotten over the heartbreaking collapse and will blow out the Cavs but i'm thinking otherwise. it may take the Warriors one game to come to their senses as i think the Cavs have the mental edge going into game 1 and that may be enough to just get the cover. but i am also looking for something that Lebron has never done before, and that is win a game 1 on the road.
However i am still sticking to my opinion that the Warriors will ultimately get their revenge but it's not going to be a walk in the park. I did say that Warriors will come back from 3-1 or more likely 3-2 to win the title. in reality it probably might be Warriors going up 3-2, then Cavs force a game 7 and Warriors winning it. but i wouldn't be shocked if Cavs upset again but it would have to be in 6 games imo.
GL tonight and enjoy this mass-manufactured crap that is the NBA(Never Believe Again)

less than 15 min ago. i just want to see a good series there haven't been many these playoffs
last year's Finals was kind of blah all games were blowouts except for game 7 but the 2nd series had a little more drama so that one is probably the best and most shocking one, the 1st series was a little more competitive than 2nd. will round 3 top it?

i'm really hoping for something memorable. Here is how i see the series playing out. The Warriors will want to come out in game 1 and make a statement early of course from what happened last year, but that is to be expected. i think the Cavs will withstand the blows like a defending champ usually does and keep it close. the Cavs will take that 35 pt beating back in January as emphasis to not come out and play poorly in the Oracle again. i think 9 days off will effect the Warriors rhythm and shooting more than the Cavs will on 6 days rest.
the Cavs stun the Warriors to take game 1. The Warriors off a bitter game 1 loss will blow out the Cavs in game 2. series tied 1-1 going back to Cleveland. From there anything can happen within the next 2 to 4 games. Warriors could steal 1 in Cleveland which is definitely most likely to even up the series at 2-2 but it would be standard ho-hum boring fair or..... Cavs can win both games at home to take a commanding 3-1 series lead which would be a more intriguing scenario to me. after all, wouldn't it be funny twist of fate that the Warriors after losing 3-1 series lead last year will be the team that comes back from 3-1 deficit again to win the title this year? it won't be called the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, that will still belong to the Cavs. Warriors have the home field so it can't really be called an upset if they come back and win as the favorite but they could be the 2nd team to come back from 3-1 to win the title. KD finally gets his ring and avenge his title loss during his OKC days
so i got Cavs series price just in case they might do the impossible again, but will wait for the Warriors series price to drop when they are down 3-1 or 3-2 and hope they are decent + money. that is the strategy i am aprroaching this series. GL all.
my prediction: Warriors in 7.
well, so much for an exciting Finals.. ended sooner than i would have liked. i knew this time whoever would be the NBA champs would win it at home unlike the last two. congrats Warriors they played like champs no question.glad it's over carry on! enjoy the summer all
