slim pickings but don't really like the slate either
thinking about playing the Suns +3.5 as my #1 pick
not really sold on these Hornets. they struggled to beat the Lakers.
i like Bulls whenever they are in the underdog role
the Warriors are struggling a bit offensively since the break and now will be without KD.
however, it seems like a bounce back situation for the Warriors. haven't had a 2 game losing streak yet this season. do they shoot horrible again 3 times in a row?
doubt it i'm hesitant to pull the trigger on +7, Warriors haven't covered their last 4 games but seems due for a cover..
and lastly OKC probably should win outright
but i feel like they may just fall asleep a bit in Portland
leans: Suns, Bulls, OKC
Sip on that plus money honey!

I don't think they'll fall asleep in Portland. I think if Portland wins, it's because they realize this is an important game. This is a team who you've beaten five straight times at home. It's a confidence booster more than anything. If they win this game, they get the Nets next and then go on the road to Minnesota and if they win there are suddenly on a three game win streak.
You've got away games in OKC and a big home game against the Wizards, but you've got the Suns and Pelicans sandwiched in between. Going 5-2 in that stretch of seven games could get them back into the swing of things and gains ground on the playoff race.
They're too high right now to tank and going like 10-13 in their last 23 does nothing for them.
I don't know which team will show up so it's a no play for me. Everything in me wants to take OKC for a lot of the same reasons, but there's a reason why Portland is -1.5.

portland still has something to play for no doubt, but its more of a confidence issue for them. they just dont know how to close out games. they have talent but are underachieving. i think they are much worse since trading Plumlee.

I feel you man. I've been back and forth on that game. The logical plays seems to be the Thunder and having watched Portland's last couple games, most of their scoring has been Lillard just kind of doing things on his own. Factor in the 17-18 Blazer turn overs a game post all star break makes you wonder how Portland can even be a favorite at home.

Since their last win streak, the blazers have gone 3-8 and recently just got destroyed on their roadtrip where they played against some top teams (C's, Jazz, Toronto).
Their only wins in those last 8 are against the Hornets, Mavs, Magic.
With that being noted, I am not sure why bookmakers did not open up OKC being favorited
Portland has not covered in last 5 games but this line is basically a pickem.... could go either way and these are the hardest games to cap.

Throwing some thoughts out there:

the yin-yang force seems a bit out of balance lately for the Warriors since the All-Star break. they haven't been shooting that well and have played a little more sloppily. watch that Wizards game and they just didn't look like the same ol' Warriors. Kevin Durant's abscence has to effect the team in some way. Steve Kerr is not feeling well and might miss tonight's game. Here is where the grind of the NBA starts to hit some teams
sure we have counterarguments aplenty. Warriors have played without KD before and they've won many games with Kerr sidelined for the first 40 games of last season. Normally i don't like to play the Superstar Being Out theory unless that team is :
A:) an underdog/small 1 to 2 pt favorite
or
B:) that the public perception thinks that team doesn't have a chance to win with superstar out.
and i believe neither of those meets the agenda. the perception is Warriors can still beat this Bulls team without Durant. i'll have to say that isn't far from the truth on almost any given night. But on this Thursday night I will be taking the Bulls at home as the underdog
Bulls +7.5 and small on +290 ML
Bulls keep the home TNT streak alive at 18 and hand the Warriors their first regular season back to back loss since April 7 2015. Bold play, wish me luck........................
