Even in the most enviable of spots, they find a way to make it a sweat. I predict an early lead for the Raps which will then be knocked down considerably. I'll probably put some $ on GSW live if they get down 5-10 points early. Raptors are notorious for giving up early leads.
I see people talking about Raps - 9 like it's a lock. It's far from, I'd be far more comfortable with GSW +9 than raps -9.

Ya'll must not know the raptors very well.

I'm not ultra comfy with gsw +9, just less comfy with taking a Raptors team at -9. They kept it within 8 with the Grizzlies, within 10 with the heat, within 7 with the Celtics, within 2 with the magic.
If raps get an early lead and i can get gsw + 12-14 i might jump on that.

I live in Toronto and watch the Raps religiously, so I think I know them "well enough". Raps are covering. But goodluck if you insist on locking in the GSW.

Here is a thread which all Raps fans should bookmark and check regularly if they are serious about capping. https://www.covers.com/forum/ViewThread/103279681/weed-the-north---season-long-raptors-thread
I notice on that thread you just posted 3 hours ago your synopsis for the game assuming Curry/Draymond are playing. FYI they are both out.

I'm from T-Dot as well & the Raps let teams cover in the final minutes too often so they are hard to trust when the spread is more than 3-4 points, but maybe they can start taking some pride in their work & cover with some authority! Lowry seems more interested in trading jerseys with opponents? Nine seems like too many to me but Go Raps!

I knew Green was out, but was under the false assumption that Curry was going to play...still love the under, and the +9 just makes sense to me given the Raps late game back door open syndrome

Lowry jacks up 3-4 hail mary 3's in a row when he think he's steph curry which usually costs them whatever lead they may have had

Coach Nurse told Lowry in the offseason to develop a deeper 3 ball range like Currys in order to stretch the floor and make defenders come out to guard him...the plan has paid off royally so far as Lowry has been deadly when hes on point...its the new age nba and it may appear like hes chucking 3s, but its part of the green light Coach Nurse has given Lowry from day 1

Sad narrative about tonights game is if they lose, the headline is they will never win a championship, and if they win, they beat a shorthanded warriors squad.

Thats the pessimistic way of looking at it...why not enjoy the game for what it is....Primetime on Tnt...the league set this up purposely before the season started...they knew this was a potential finals matchup and now its up to the media to spin it the best way they can for the leagues interest.
Theres no downside here...Raps will continue the path they are on and there is no real speed bump in the east anymore with James in the west....sure Bucks are a nice team, and who knows how Boston and Philly shake out, but the Raps will be favored in every single home game from here to the end...and that bodes well for everyone who supports Drakes team

I am a diehard raps fan and a season ticket holder for 5 years now. I would not touch raptors -9. GSW +9.5 at my book right now and I def think warriors cover.

NBA doesn't want to see a blowout of a depleted Warriors team on TNT. Don't expect much home cooking for Raps from the refs. This game might be closer than people think. Warriors -9.5 is where my money is going.

There are 2 clear scripts here:
1. Raps come out on fire, win the 1st Q by 12-15 pts while GS just lay bricks from 3...and then the game settles in with a Raps 15pt HT lead to entice more 2h action on GS. (Final outcome would be a Raps 25pt+ blowout and the media just spins it as a warriors team too injured to compete)
2. Raps come out too hyper and just cant do anything right, while GS takes a 6-8pt lead after 1q...halftime comes and the game is within 3pts either way...then the 3rd Q is played evenly again with teams possibly tied heading to the 4th...then the Raps hit them with a 9-2 run 2 min into the 4th, Kerr calls timeout, but the Raps hang on all 4th Q to win by 6 7 or 8...

I can't even recall the last time the Warriors were 9 point underdogs to anyone its probably been many years .. but at the end of the day you are probably right

I hope so to. I'll be at the game tonight. 2nd game this season so far. Should be good and I'm going to make a small play on the Raps as S.I.A is still holding at -9
