I remember the exact moment when I found out. I remember thinking that things were going to be different. Im certain if he was still around, the state of hip hop and trends in general would have taken a different direction.
Also, as much as I like Jay Z etc. he would have never had this much success if Tupac had lived.

I have all Tupac cd's and 1 special unreleased bootleg.
It was directly from the studio at 92.3 "The Beat"
Yep - you read that right. The Super OG radio station from the 90's.
My buddy worked at "The Beat" and still to this day I have the CD with 6 or 7 still unreleased Tupac songs.
The thing with Tupac is you can bang almost any of his joints and none of them sound dated.

I listened to Kday too Mr. Los Angeles aka Megamaniak.
We are talking about Tupac so this fits within the time frame and still absolutely qualifies as OG.
Wall banging??
Were both from LA so I would hope we have mutual respect for eachother. A Baby OG would be born in the 90's. Your just getting older now playa. Its already 2010 and a 1/2
As a youngin' Ive lived in some of the worst parts of Los Angeles ie, Lynwood, Southgate border of Compton etc. and have some "friends" who have gone on to be less than upstanding citizens. With that said they are great people but just made some bad decisions. Ultimately, we are still friends and the loyalty factor is unwavering.
I was talking to OG Lepke last year about this very topic at Toons shop while getting inked. "OG" is a really broad term especially when the 80's was basically 30 years ago.
So yeh - are you talking about 1987 OG when the drip of the curl was all the rage with Raiders / Kings hats and Laker Shirts with Pat Riley?? That would be OG
If you are talking about the Starter jacket era in the early 90's I still consider that OG as well. If you were bangin in 1992 you would still consider yourself OG.
Youngsters nowadays are not considered 30 years old.
Were getting old Mega and even though you are older than me you should see that many Baby OG's are now in fact OG's.
Time flies when your having fun...

Respeto, well put... I guess we are getting older.
By any chance, did you check out the ESPN 30 for 30 "Straight Outta L.A" directed by Ice Cube?... good shit.
It's a good documentary just not about the L.A. Raidaz but L.A. during the '80's and early 90's. Check it out, homey.

I went to the same high school that TUPAC went to which was
White Plains High School, in White Plains, NY
He spent time all over the country... NY, Oaktown, La La Land, and then gets smoked in Vegas... and you tell me nobody knows who mercked his ass.
