After winning game 1 ML I had no interest in game 2 thinking the Heat would probably blow out SA. I have since changed my mind for a couple reasons.
First the NBA is not fixed. I keep hearing this at the bar, in the forums etc. When people start telling me this is fixed I just think to myself this guy is a dope and fade. Only losers think this is fixed because they need an excuse, maybe one ref does it here or there for fun but not the Finals. Not a big game with so many eyes.
I was talking to my friends and strangers at the bar yesterday, some are big fans some casual but not one, not one facking person said SA is going to win (20 people). Rather not one even game them chance. They were so confident that one of my friends who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat told me it's his 5 star guarantee lock which holds about as much weight as a Patrick Ewing guarantee. Soccer today same thing, oh Heat by 20 is all I heard.
If you are someone who fades and likes to read the forums how the heck can you take the Heat when across three forums all have the Heat LARGE. Only losers go large all the time, here or there is fine but you should be flat betting but that's not the point of this thread. I've never seen so many LARGE this or LARGE that in the forums acting as if this is free money. I'm always hesitant or cautious about my bets, kind of feel uncomfortable. The more confident the more likely you will lose. Too much confidence from the same clowns in the forums.
The NBA is the only sport where the best team wins every year. My eyes tell me the Spurs are the better team. Heat just look so banged up, this time of the year your stars are what win, not the bench. Two of the three are not playing close the level they were in the regular season. Wade I'm not even expecting much, he looks like an old car that is about to be thrown in the junkyard because of injuries and wear and tear of the league. Bosh just flat out is in a huge funk. Who are you going to rely on late? Double Lebron and make anyone else beat you. If the Spurs can even hit 35% from 3 this could easily be a DD win for them.
Yes I know the numbers after a Heat loss but a different team different spot. This is the Finals throw it all out the window. That was when they were playing inferior talent and healthy. Lebron has a lot of Arod in him when it comes to these spots. Obviously he's an all time great and a monster but I don't trust him in these spots even if it isn't his fault. Will be interesting to see what adjustments are made and how they plan on stopping Parker, don't hold your breath with the Heats coaching staff. Heat could win by 30 I wouldn't be surprised but I like my SA ticket considering everything I just detailed. Maybe I should of just said I'm going to fade fade fade and fade some more than have you read this ridiculous post. Spurs ML +260 and +6 both even amount. 3/6/13 .

I so agree with you on that statement, and spurs bring so much value to the ml tonight, but with that said i am going heat ml parlayed to the over cause i liked the over anyways and just dont see the heat losing the first two at home, although i would not be surprised if spurs won, i think it will be close come down to the last few poss, and i think lbj will make those last few plays ..bol 165

gl bud, sitting this one out but like the spurs as well.
Me too. It seems like when the linemaker puts out a strong line on the Heat in the playoffs, they've been able to cover it. But this is essentially the same number as game 1 even though the stakes are higher for Miami. I'll pass. GL 165

Its not that the nba is fixed persay... but it is definitely somewhat influenced.... i think the league wants the series extended and i believe that that the officials are instructed to do so in some way, whether they are implicit or not

the thing is, most people are probably taking the Heat minus the points. that's a whole other story.
the heat look banged up? you ever wonder why there were 2 days off between game 1 and 2? things that make you go hmmm........
San Antonio played a great game and Miami played an average game. You seen how close it was. Miami led for most of the game. I guess you are banking on the same results.

Think of how many people chased a pengiuns win that never happened and they were all left with 4 straight loses. Take the better team at the moment which is the spurs +6

Dan I wouldn't say SA played a "great" game. I'd say they executed a great 2H game plan especially in the 4Q. For me, this is take the 6 or sit it out. Miami cannot be trusted. They've shown that all season. Even during their streak, there were many of those games that they probably should've lost and plenty others that they did not cover. The Heat are good but I've not seen great from them yet. They will have to be great to win this series. We'll see if they can start tonight.

SA played a great game?! They shot 41% from the field, the Heat basically got their best games of this postseason from Bosh, Ray Allen, and D Wade. You want to see SA play a great game, wait till they go to San Antonio and Kawhi, Danny Green, Manu, and Bonner start hitting 50% from 3s. The pace of the game was even to Miami's favor and they still couldn't pull it off.

i would have agreed unless i check current REFs. these guys are disaster. i doubt Spurs will play terrific basketball with these REFs cause these two teams have no significant gap. Spurs are better overall, however, i expect there are some friggin & critical calls by Refs, which is scary

4 total turnovers in 4 quarters qualifies as a great game anyway you look at it.

The Heat are not the public team we think they are. I was surprised to see how much support the Pacers were getting throughout the Eastern finals. It seems like everyone thinks they know the Heat are a flawed team, because ESPN tells us they are.
