Hate to break it to you GS lovers, but the Warriors have had
the softest NBA schedule in league history. They’ve blown out a lot of
opponents, but a lot of bad opponents. 18 Games into the season, they’ve faced
just 3 teams in the top 10 in defense. And luckily for them, all 3 of those
games were at home. The Jazz boast a top 3 defense in the league and now Golden
State won’t have the luxury of playing at home this time. Let’s look at those 3
games:
vs Raptors – A game that was tied very late in
the 4th Q. (Home game for Warriors)
vs Bulls – A game the Bulls were leading late in
the 4th Q before a late surge. (Home game for Warriors)
vs Pistons – This game was close in the 4th
Q as well before a late surge. (Home game for Warriors)
Besides those 3 games, the team defense of their opponents
ranks as follows:
29th, 28th, 29th, 13th,
19th, 23rd, 30th, 13th, 18th,
20th, 19th, 23rd, 27th, 26th,
30th. Tonight they will face at
#3 Utah without Harrison Barnes.
This will be the 5th straight day at home for
Utah while the Warriors have went from Phoenix, to San Francisco, now to Utah
in those same 5 days. The Jazz have the Magic in 3 days leaving them nobody to
look ahead to and are playing well coming off two back2back double-digit
victories.
Golden State’s lines are now totally inflated as well due to all
their blowouts. A healthy Thunder team was +1 in Utah just a week ago, and we
are to say the Warriors are 9 points better? For what reason exactly, we
already proved above they’ve beaten nobody. The real reason is due to public
perception and their win streak.
Utah will have great value in the next several games as 10 of their
first 14 games were all on the road. This means their wins/losses and ATS
wins/losses are factored using mostly road games and conversely will play
better at home. The time to back Golden State was in the first 5 weeks against
the easiest part of their schedule, not now. The Warriors have beat the Jazz 7
of 8 times the last 2 seasons but I fully expect the Jazz to get some revenge
tonight.
Jazz +8

agree with predessesing post. Utah D might be spectacular which means that GS will score not more than 100-105 point...BUt will the Jazz hit 100 point mark? I seriously doubt, see them in some 90-93 points range....

OK. I see what you're saying about Jazz' defense but who's going to provide the points for this team?
The Warriors havn't faced a top 10 defense on the road yet this whole year, it will be a different game, different looks, different matchups for them and playing without Harrison Barnes. It is not what they are used to through their first 18 games, GS will struggle tonight
See you after the game folks, not gonna respond to each post drooling over how good GS is.
Good luck

Lol yes yes. So Warriors have beaten nobody. Ok. Only the bulls raptors and clips twice. And Memphis twice. Their schedule hasn't been soft. GL on Utah but I'm on GS large. Sure utahs D is ok but check their schedule they haven't played many quality opponents.

We all acknowledged your analysis of the Jazz being a top 10 defense... yet you still dodged the question on how the Jazz is going to provide the scoring. Your ignorance is off the charts when it comes to the Warriors. I'm not saying +8 is a bad play because I have taken up to +15 against the Warriors and lost. But you are ignoring both sides of the ball and focusing on only one. Bad mistake.

Sama sentiments here. From the card today, the games that jumped out on me are this Utah line and Detroit -4.5. This Utah team is dangerous, and very versatile defensively. They can heat up offensively as well if they stay inspired, in which they will.
I can see the first GS loss either tonight or at Toronto on Dec 5.
Btw, what are your thoughts on Hou @ Det tonight? I laid a huge one on that game.

Dodged the question of who's going to score? Lol because it is a moot question. The same players who put up 102 on the road against the Clippers the other day and 101 at home last game. You want me to list each player 1 by 1?
It's obvious this isn't a popular pick, so fade away and put your money on the better GS team if it makes you feel better

Havn't looked at any other game on the card to be honest, been waiting for this one for a few days

Already posted in my thread that I bet the Warriors but in no way am I disregarding your post. My one concern about tonight is that the Warriors have not faced much good defense as of late either and has been giving up roughly 100ppg. That defense from last year is slacking but they're making it up with leading the league in PPG. It would be interesting to see if they can pick up the defense against the 3rd worst offense in the league without Barnes who's one of their best defenders. I was thinking no play here but since I'll be watching the game I decided to go with my lean being that the Warriors are more balanced on both ends vs the Jazz who are more defense. Even without Barnes I see Dubs hitting 105-110. Not sure if the Jazz can break 100.

LOL..jazz have no offense. No doubt they will get up for this game. U mentioned okc was a +1 +2 underdog against jazz at home yet okc blew them away with Durant back. Yea this game will be close until the 4th. All it takes is one 3 from curry and jazz will start panicking and chucking up shots. No value at the line. Jazz will defend well inside the paint but you are underestimating warriors bench. Which will be the diff. Warriors large -7.5
