Tuesday 1Q/3Q Picks:



BOS/CHA (+1)>>>Charlotte is the 1Q play.  They are undefeated at home and have a good 1Q record.  Boston is terrible ATS at home and on the road. 

Boston is 4-3 on the road.  1Q=2-5  3Q=3-4
Charlotte is 8-0 at home.  1Q=5-3  3Q=6-2

WAS/TOR (-2)>>>3Q play or no play.  Too close to call.  WAS has only won 1 3Q and they were down DD at the half.

Washington is 5-3 on the road.  1Q=5-3  3Q=1-8
Toronto is 4-4 at home.  1Q=4-4  3Q=2-6

PHO/NY(+2)>>>PHO is the 1Q play.  PHO has been on a 1Q tear the last 2 games.  Before that, they were pathetic.  NY is the 3Q play if they lose the 1Q.  NY is perfect at home and has covered in the 3Q regardless of how far behind they are in the 1half.  But, they have yet to win both quarters regardless.

Phoenix is 6-5 on the road.  1Q=3-8  3Q=5-6
NY is 8-0-1 at home.  1Q=3-6  3Q=5-4

GSW/DEN (-3)>>>GSW is the 1Q play.  The main reason is that DEN doesn't win the 1Q at home- but they've won or pushed in the 3Q, so they would be the 3Q play.

MIA/POR (-2)>>>This is a 3Q play.  Both teams are undefeated in this situation.  Hard to pick who will win the 1Q.

POR is 10-0 at home.  1Q=7-3  3Q=6-4

NO/LAL (-3 1/2)>>>LAL is the 1Q play.  They may be the 3Q play also.  They have won both quarters 6 of 11 games.  Lakers have dominated at home. NO has done well but they can't compete against the LAL.  3 of NO 5 wins, they won both quarters.

NO is 5-4 on the road.  1Q=3-6  3Q=5-4
LAL is 10-1 at home.  1Q=7-4  3Q=9-2

CORRECTED LINES:

GSW +4

LAL -4 1/2  I can't believe how much they increase the 1Q line for LAL.  They are only 14 1/2 faves for the game.  The line should be no more than 4.  Should be 3 1/2.  Probably because they cover most of the time.

For those 3Q players.

 I am doing a spread sheet to see if there are any 3Q trends based on what happens in the 1Q and the 1half. 

That way I just got to look at the results for both teams and if there is a trend then it would constitute a strong play- Larger than normal bet.

This would help me so I don't have to spend time trying to cap each 3Q game during the half.  Sometimes I get in such a rush because of multiple games, I don't get the post or the play in on time.
