HAWKS ML +220, No This Isn't a Joke

Yes, I love the underdog ML...I see this game as we have all seen that the Magic are the much much better matchup then anyone else is against the Hawks. I do not think though they are a much much better team, a better team yes, but much much better no. Going into game 3 the Hawks still had pressure on them to come back where they have been great at home all year and get back in this series. They are a young team as they showed and when a young team gets falls down they do not get back up. But, the one thing this team has is a ton of talent and athletic ability. They now have no pressure. If they lose by 30, who cares. The fans are going strictly because the put a big discount out on game 4 tickets. I say this is gonna be the first game they can go out and just have fun. Go be those high flying Hawks inside, and JJ and Jamal on the outside hitting 3's. The Magic do not have that killer instinct like the Suns do this year, or the Lakers. They have not even been down by more then 9 yet in the entire playoffs. I think the Hawks get hot early, and play to play. Yes they have quit on the team, but they have not quit on themselves and individually they are very talented. I know 99% of this forum is on the Magic and if on the Hawks, no way they are on the ML, so I am gonna get a ton of shit. But, I got it for Celts ML game 2, Suns ML, games 3 and 4 and Lakers ML game 3, so I am use to it. BOLTA

I like Magic 1half over.. Magic will try to run the points up by 1 half and dont think atlanta will put up much fight on defense..

I'll be taking the points once the line shoots up which I assume it will.  I may sprinkle a bit on the ML too though.

They were booing Joe Johnson in game 3 for crying out loud. Thats just fucked up Atlanta. 

The Magic don't have the killer instinct?  Name me one other team that has accomplished a sweep in this year's playoffs.  And tell me who among the current playoff teams has covered the most number of games starting from the last 2 weeks of the regular season.  If you're too lazy to look it up, let me tell you who: the Orlando Magic.

I love betting on dog ML too, owing to the juicy payouts.  But this simply is not the situation to bet on one, IMHO. 

When the games are close in the past 3 years of the playoffs, the Magic tend to lose the majority of the games. When they win, its by blowout. I do not think they blowout tomorrow. If they do OK. By game time i will be getting 3 to 1 on my money, so I am taking a big risk anyway. But out of the top NBA teams, the Magic are at the bottom as far as a team i want my cash on in a close game. If I had to pick a team to blowout someone though, they are at the top of the list with the Suns.

IMO- after watching the last 3 gms - I'd  seen Hwaks players " QUIT" playing when they are down 10+ pts ... by 3rd qtr !

Compared to MAGIC (bench) players ,they were playing till the clock reach 00:00

Looking at the player comments, the Hawks think this is over. All of their comments about their team and the season are in the PAST tense. The Magic comments are in the present.

I just feel when they win which is an awful lot, they win big for the most part, when the games are within 5 points they are 4-8 SU since 2008. I just do not think they are that great of a team to hold off teams when the game is close. I never said they were a bad team or have not been the best team in the playoffs so far. But with that said, they are not unbeatable.

They know its over, thats my whole premise for the bet..They are not gonna care about the x's and o's, they are just gonna go play some old school have a good time Bball and see what happens. Ill take the fighting chance for a very talented team.

Oh btw Borat, the Suns accomplished a sweep in this years playoffs. And I do not care how many spreads they have covered. I know they have won I believe 12 in a row. I do not dispute any of this. I simply have an opinion and a feeling and I am gonna ride it. Its funny how everyone expected the #7 seed Spurs to win Game 4 being down 3 - 0 to a #3 seed out of the west because of the name on the front of their jerseys, but the idea that a 4 seed in the east could possible win a game against the 2 seed at home is unthinkable. BTW the Suns had pretty much dominated the Spurs through the first 3 games as well. Obviously not to the same extent as the Magic have score wise, but pretty good non the less.

I do not think they will play any defense. I think that might be the key. Just run up and down the floor with the Magic, beat them at their own game, get the crowd actually behind you. Hope that the Magic have an off night on the road from behind the line. If you do not go inside, Howard can not get all those rebounds and blocks to start the odd man rushes.

hawks have packed it up already, what's the point in having to fly to orlando to get an ass whoppin in game 5. they play hard for the 1st half and mail it in 2nd half. game 4 goes to orlando, just a matter on how much they want to win by. van gundy is a no bs coach and will keep his starters in even if they are up by 15 in the 4th with 2 mins to go.

Last game Atl was up at half...still lost by 25...and yet you want to lay units on them? LOL. BOL

Well the responses are what i expected and what they should be. GL to everyone. I will have 1/3rd of my normal bet size on the ML. Im figuring by game time, the line will be +300. So if I lose not a huge deal. What I really am hoping for is that somehow, someway, the Hawks get up early and the in game line goes to Orl EV and I can just hedge and hope for some free cash. I know there is no exact way that the in game lines work, but when the Suns got up 7 in Game 3 not Game 4 the Spurs were at EV, and the opening ML, were about the same as this game. I actually want to lay 1/3rd of 1 unit on them with the hopes of a hedge and you just made my point. They were up at the half, give me that again, Ill hedge and play with house money.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I read (or heard) somewhere that the Magic are undefeated ATS in closeout games.  I may have heard it on a Sports Radio talk show that Marc Lawrence was on.
