Houston Wins WCF Series +185
Houston ML Game 1 -115
Houston +1.5 games in series -125
Cavs win ECF series -120
Perfect storm here --> wrong team is favored because of the past --> Rockets played like a top 10 team on all time this season --> teams with their pt differential and win records historically make the finals and win it --> money is on the other side in the series so even better we get to be on the bookie's side --> on the other side team's generally don't make 4 straight finals --> in NBA history this has only happened 4 times (disregarding the first 10 Celtics years) --> Steph is not recovered and will be exposed by a physical much improved Rockets defense --> Rockets depth and bench will also be a factor --> There will be no Cavs v. Warriors 4 --> Rockets will play the Cavs in the finals and should beat them (though I may have to hedge given the magic way LeBron has performed this post-season
The NBA does not want it's fans to be jaded or bored. Scott Foster already in Houston to ensure a game 1 victory --> One HUGE difference in this series will be the REFS --> Rockets know how to take advantage of them --> Warriors only know how to get thrown off by them --> expect a lot of techs and ejections for Draymond, KD and Livingston

Bob: I like Houston in game 1 but if they lose tonite, it’s gonna be tough. I would hope and expect that Houston is treating tonite as a must win. They need to get the confidence immediately in this series that they can beat golden state in games that matter. Houston CAN play defense but if they plan on winning this series it has to be PRIORITY ONE. Guys like Ariza, Capela and Paul need to be all over the dubs. When you say perfect storm Bob, that’s exactly what will be needed to take the dubs out in this series. You touched on the refs and I couldn’t agree more. You can bet that in this series the officials will be talked about just as much as the players.

Cant argue with your reasoning but i dont see why the Warriors cant make it back again for the 4th time to defend their title.. these teams are definitely a little more even. the Rockets are definitely improved and will give Warrioes all they can handle. I think Cavs is the odd team out here. The season stats seem to suggest this is the weakest Cavs team since his return to Cleveland. Last year in the Finals this Cavs team was exposed they had no defense, i think Kyrie also wasnt 100% healthy. Now without Kyrie, LBJ doesnt have a true sidekick and the Cavs are getting older.. so i believe you are right, therre wont be a Cavs vs Warriors pt 4.

What the celts did in the 1st rd will have zero bearings on what will happen if they get to the finals....but hey, you know alot about clowns apparently so go bet all your lunch money against them come the finals...people who bet the Lakers against the Pistons back in the day are still working graveyard yards...that could end up being you some day soon.

dude,whilst conventional wisdom and common sense says the warriors handle the celtics fairly comfortably if that matchup were to occur,and i personally lean that way too...its SPORTS and all sorts of wild,unexpected shi..t happens constantly!!..at various stages NOBODY expected the cavs to take out the warriors 2016,nobody expected eagles to win SB last year,nobody expected the astros to win world series,nobody expected vegas knights to be doing what they are and really,really literally 100% no-fuggen-body expected leicester to win the flippin soccer premier league...and thats just a small sample of what wild unpredictable stuff can happen with the unpredictable element of humans on sports fields....and thats not even allowing for freak occurences like injuries and suspensions which would NOT be a shock for the warriors team that includes curry/durant/draymond now would it??
so,are the warriors the far better team with the faaar better pedigree and experience??of course,it would be an epic type of upset if it happened....but folks have such short memories and everyones so smart after the fact..the same guys saying this could never happen,that could never happen will probably be in here saying how they saw it coming all along afterwards.

2016 Cavs had the best player in the world and multiple all stars. It was an unbelievable comeback but please don’t bring up NHL and NFL. NFL has always had extreme parity and it’s one game, not seven. NHL is also historically inconsistent as you have a hot goalie, and it’s all over. The NBA has had the same teams in the finals the past three seasons for a reason. Celtics dynasties, Lakers dynasties, and so on. Please spare me the little giants pep talk.

hey,thats terrific!!!..you can make up all the caveats and excuses in the world and you will always be crying after an upset happens because you never saw that caveat BEFORE it happened...but it dont matter what sport,on a long enough timeline a highly improbably shock result can take place...you would have been the exact same dolt in here saying it was basically IMPOSSIBLE for the 2011 mavs to beat the heat and the 2004 pistons to beat the lakers.
but dumb people never learn,ya just cant fix dumb......and we would see that yet again if the celtics somehow tipped up the "unbeatable" warriors.
