The Rockets will be coming into this game with double revenge after losing to the Thunder twice this season, but Oklahoma City is not the place they want to play tonight.
After winning there game of the year against the two time defending champs, they backed it up with another big win against the Indiana Pacers. Following that, they were bulldozed early by the Blazers, yet exerted a huge 2nd half to force overtime and come away with another victory. Five straight victories, three of them coming against the Heat, Pacers, and Blazers which included an emotional Primetime victory, a huge 2nd half comeback, an overtime period, and consecutive games all scoring over 100+ points. Now they have to travel to one of the hardest arenas in the league to win at, against a team off two consecutive losses to sub-par teams.
The Thunder have owned Harden since joining the Rockets (8-3), I don't see them slowing down in what will be a bad spot for the Rockets. The consensus is that the Rockets are on fire and the Thunder are struggling heavily but let's not fall in love with the Rockets recent victories, all three of them were home games - one of them being there game of the year, another being against a struggling Pacers team thats 0-48 against fast paced teams this year, and another against the Blazers in which they were extremely lucky to come away with the win. All three of which were very emotional games for them. The Thunder meanwhile, have played the Suns and the Lakers back-to-back, two games that meant very little to them. Now they get to face a team that everyone is touting as the hottest team in the league.
Will the Rockets be as lucky when playing in an arena as dominant as OKC? Revenge or no revenge, the Thunder should shut them down here.

I don't know, LC. Totals can be tricky and the Thunder are missing their two defensive guys, guys who basically only play because of their defense. If you look at their previous games Howard was held in check because of Perkins, I have no doubt about that. He scored half his average in those games. You think Ibaka is going stop him? I know you don't care for matchups or injuries but this one is hard to put aside.

I'm sure Howard will get his, as will Harden at the FT line. This play is based on the Rockets not having their legs, and being emotionally spent, and the Thunder wanting a win. As you said, I don't care much about the matchup as it's already factored into the total. It wouldn't be set at 217 if like you said, there best defenders were in the game. Your never given free points

against the blazers rockets shot like garbage all game, the ref kept them in the game, good shooting night from houston and no defense from okc = a good night for rockets...

So why not take the -4? I'm assuming you are seeing a close defensive type game.

I got 2 units on the Thunder 1h, but I like the TT under better. The Thunder have given up back to back 110+ points in 2 consecutive losses to bottom feeders. They'll play a defensive game today and I see the Rockets slowing it down as well in another huge game for them.
