Great Post and Great Analysis!!
I think you are spot on... Either way, I like the Houston bet, even though it is really hard to make, after seeing what GS did to Rockets in Game 6. But the line is ridiculous at -6, with CP3 out. The line moved about 5 points when CP3 is out in Game 6, from GS -7 (with CP3) to GS -12 (without CP3), at Warriors Home; and the entire public watched GS demolished Houston without CP3. Now the momentum is all with Golden State, and playing at Rockets Home. The line in Game 4 playing at Rockets Home was GS -1 (with CP3). So, after watching Game 6, Houston playing without CP3 moved also 5 points, from GS -1 to GS -6?? No way, man!! Vegas isn't about giving free money...
Also, why not make it GS -7, because lots of times 7 is more of a neutral line when Vegas set their odds, and teams usually don't foul once they are down 7 or more, with one last possession to go. I am surprised Vegas didn't even try to set the line to 7, because maybe it will probably scare some GS money... By setting at 5.5 or 6, it will look alright (without screaming trap, cause it moved 5 points in both CP3 out scenario, i.e. Game 6 and Game 7), and attract just enough GS money...
I guess we shall see if my theory is right... Bottomline, the biggest game of the Series, Vegas knows something (that we dont). When they set the line at 5.5/6 with CP3 not playing (after the entire public watched Game 6), I don't think it will be that easy again for GS covering this time around, definitely not 6 points... We shall see.
