usually these "trap" lines are set up so it seems the better team has an easy win and cover...some cry trap..some say the line is fishy..some believe no trap its an easy win...and we all know there is no such thing
personally for me i'm almost always on the wrong end of these "stank like fish lines
i've actually taken in the rear 3 straight games under these "trap" lines..my senses usually warn me to take caution and luckily for me i always avoid the monster ass raping..but still i question sometimes how vegas senses these games
take today for example: Lakers vs Suns
one notices the line LA -4 and of coarse it seems like an easy winner in favor in LA. look at the factors:
la coming off a rested saturday
suns without nash and stoudamire
kobe and phil stating that their previious loss to denver was an abomination
then you watch the game play out..and it appeared as though the lakers had absolutely no interest in winning today. i swear to god i don't believe a NBA game can be rigged but for a moment this game made me think..something i never see in a game happens twice in the same quarter..the lakers got intercepted on an inbounds pass twice..pure sloppiness..and the lackluster play continued for the entire game not just the first quarter
now if lakers were to play the suns in like a month the more acceptable line would be something like LA -7.5 not -4
yesterday villanova vs gtown was also a game ppl were crying trap and surely enough villanova didn't just fail to cover but they lost SU
2 weeks ago spurs got whooped by toronto without calderon and bosh..and no marion at that time
effort and level of interest is something you cannot cap
how the hell does vegas know? if this was the NFL we were talking about i wouldn't question it
btw Jizz look like an easy bet vs GS later on tonight..
