I read every response. Thank you for the all the accolades. If you took the time to read the OP, you cashed and early on it looks like many here were quite convinced this was the right side despite the ridiculous and ever present hate. It's all FREE and I wrote this baby at 3 AM this morning (had my head filled up with everything in the OP and didn't want to wait until woke up).
11-4 (73%) capping on the season and we are right back on track after two recent slip-ups.
Couldn't ask for more from the Lakers than you got today...they gave everything they had for us and then some, at the perfect time: when our money was on them...lots of it...

Been following this forum for some time now and i must say your absoutely outstanding. Tailed you on all of your picks this season and could make some extra money. Unfortunatelly Im a poor student, so I cant bet 500 euros per game. Nevertheless your picks brought me a nice bankroll and I can always bet a little bit more. Thanks a lot and best regards from germany! Thought my first covers post should be dedicated to you

Great work, Scalabrine! Regardless of our major political differences, you definitely deserve much respect for that ballsy, informative write-up and RESULT.

Well I think we sweat just a little when the Lakers were down by 16 in the second quarter.
But even at that it was only 3.5/3 outside the spread so I wasn't even that worried.

My pleasure man! Good to hear we are dealing books pain across the world.
It's for the poor students from Germany that make me take this capping stuff seriously.
Does anyone really think I spend hours thinking about a game, days in advance, write up an outline before posting and then take an hour to two hours to type it up just get attention from anonymous posters?
No way. I want to post a winner, period (and really at the end of the day, I'm betting all these games large so it would be a double whammy of pain to lose money and have to endure the fact that I shared my loss with many others, and was the driving force behind it! But when you win $ and share it, nothing is sweeter!)

Great call, Scal. Sorry I doubted you. I tailed you when you were on the Lakers before and I just couldn't do it again (but then I bet on the Pistons? go figure). You are a savant my friend. I don't know how you do it, whether it is innate or from years of study. I've been watching Basketball since the early 80's and these games (day in, day out) still baffle me. You really have to study this stuff. Read what written and also read between the lines. Going with trends, matchups etc... will never tell you which team is gonna show up on a nightly basis. I'm only disappointed by the fact that you didn't call the ML bet on the Lakers. So there is room for you to improve:)

Appreciate that! Thanks man.
The more I researched and the more I typed, I saw this wasn't a good side, it was a great side!
Yes it was tough to fade the best in the west for a team that gave up 408 Points in a span of three games and now were playing an offensive powerhouse like the Thunder but when you look at the previous game OKC and the Lakers played recently and then this one, there really wasn't a legitimate reason to be getting EXTRA points in comparison, just because of that Clipper game.
As soon as they lost that game by almost 50, I jumped on my phone and looked at their schedule. This game was the sweet spot and the line never stopped going up. Denver was too much to ask in a b2b but they even covered that too!

If you seriously played the Laker ML on this game on an open parlay, play some huge negative ML's and collect that money man!

I wouldn't even bother calling the ML. For one, the ML was so big in this game my site didn't even post it so I wasn't concerned since I couldn't bet on it (even though I know you're joking with the ML talk).
I would say that if you do as well as you do and you quoted your winnings here already, you should start contributing something of a paragraph or two with some picks because you obviously win if you have time.
I can only say that focus is the key as simple as it sounds.
I really ramped up my Knicks plays (6-1 this year) but that has come at a price. I have sacrificed my Nets capping for it. I simply can't watch both Nets and Knicks, games, postgames, research on the teams and roster, interviews, inside info on the team, etc etc etc. night in night out so I focused squarely on the Knicks and keep the Nets on the periphery.
But teams like the Lakers and their struggles enamor me so much that I love to follow and cap them so I follow them for large stretches. And it has paid off.
I couldn't cap the Warriors effectively with a large write-up for shi$ so I'll leave that to you.

Well Shaq was heavily courted by the Knicks when he was a free agent after his Orlando years and Kobe was supposed to be taken by the Nets but his agent strong armed the Nets to back off of him so he could go to the Lakers and the Nets ended up taking Kerry Kittles (loved him). So they have two of the greatest ever that should have played their career in the Northeast.
So to see them struggle so mightily today is very sweet and really the best outcome as a fan would be to get inside the number and lose and lose and lose some more.
But as a capper of course I would prefer nothing more than a 30 point Laker victory.

Thanks for posting these plays, scalabrine. Any time I look in the forum and see a write-up from you, I have a pretty good feeling it's going to be a lucrative day, and it nearly always is. Great capping, my friend.

Thanks for the encouragement, Scal. And thanks for giving us some insight into your methods. The Warriors are a baffling team and although I follow them closely it seems like I am often a game off. If I say they'll show up today, they show up tomorrow. If I say they'll bring the defense tonight, they'll bring it the next night. If I say they're gonna get on a hot streak this week, they'll do it next week. It's not that I'm wrong about this team, but my timing is off. Not sure why. But it's the difference between winning and losing, in most cases.
I had a much better feel for my Niners team, but that was also football. And there is world of difference between reading a guy like Harbaugh and how he will get his team to react to a win or a loss and a Mark Jackson (and the NBA in general, since it is such a players' league). Look at the Grizz, for instance, it doesn't matter who coaches them. Those guys self-motivate and go about their business. You can count on a team like that, in that you know what you will get on most nights. Which is rare in the NBA these days. So I'll be keeping a close eye on the Grizz in the next few weeks. Same with Dallas. They still have Dirk and a very good coach.
