Cavs should even the series, and get a statement win on game 3.  Not to sure about the ats but will take the risk, am going big for cavs. BOL BB ??

Cleveland hasn't done sh** to warrant such a high line.

Boston can win convincingly against this joke of a Cavs team even when LeBron scores 40+ (and has a triple double). Love with 22 points and 15 rebounds and still lose by double digit.

In 8 playoffs wins, they have won by more than 7 only twice.

Boston is a more a complete and better team that Indiana and Cleveland won four games at home by less then four points all four games.

I really think Boston can sweep Cleveland. James have to score 50-55 points (literally) for Cleveland to have a chance. Not even to win, to have a chance to win a single game.

No feelings regarding tonight. But hard for me to fade warriors against such an inferior team. Warriors did not play their best Monday and still won easy. Rockets will have to play a perfect game.

What if this is a sweep or done in 5? Wouldn’t that greatly benefit Boston psychologically? It would give them a bit of rest mentally in that all year they’ve been playing down their two best players. Sure, they’ve made it look easy so far, but disposing of the Cavs quickly would have endless benefits. The biggest would be that it may bring more viewers to the tv come finals given that Boston took care of lebron with ease. 

Also, if Boston goes into Cleveland and wins wouldn’t that sell the finals just a little more? Think about it. If Boston struggles on the road, regardless of who wins in the West, would anybody watch really? But if Boston wins quickly in 4 or 5 it creates this perception that maybe, just maybe Boston would have a fighters chance in the finals. I’m not saying they will but it makes sense from the average fans perspective out there. Wouldnt the league want this too? Dispose of the Cavs quick, the writing on the wall for Lebron to leave is there and if the West series drags out, you may just have something to sell in the finals. Let’s be honest though, after what we’ve seen from the Cavs so far, it would not look good for Boston, the league and the ratings in the FINALS if Boston struggled in Cleveland. The league has a tough decision to make. Do they let this series between the Cavs and Boston drag out because it’s lebron and he equals ratings or do they cut the cord quick, hope the West series goes 6 or 7 and really sell these Celtics as a formidable opponent for whoever wins that west? Either way, if the hidden agenda for the league is get lebron out of Cleveland then Boston winning in 4 or 5 is what will be needed. I guess with that you also get to the sell the finals to viewers as something that needs to be watched. We’ll see......

I looked at the games that potentially fit the criteria. The total ATS record for home team is 9-4 ATS but 10 of the 13 games were played more than 10 years ago so I do not know if those games should still be taken so seriously to predict today's games. The last two games that fit the criteria happen to be in the last two Celtics series. Meanwhile, it is obvious that the Celtics have been consistently underpriced throughout the playoffs while the Cavs have been overpriced. So the line here does not really reflect the teams' true level of play like some other series in the history.

The problematic thing is, from a basketball standpoint, there does not seem to be much personnel changes that the Cavs can do to save the situation. The Celtics' roster is upgraded from last year while the Cavs' roster is significantly weakened by Kyrie's leave. So to cover the spread, all one can hope is that the other Cavs players besides Lebron step up at home to have a good shooting night after three days' rest and the Cavs also get some help from the referees (while the Celtics have a bad shooting night or unexpected injuries).

Just to add B.B., in terms of a wink and a nod between the refs:

Last round out of a possible 28 games, there were a minuscule 19 played (4-0 4-1 4-1 4-1).

The NBA lost a massive amount of revenue on that front.

The WWE style ending with Boston players complaining about the biased reffing is an attractive angle you’ve endorsed before in the playoffs and one that has paid off. Assuming the Cavs pull away with a ton of FT’s to get to 8-10-12 pt victory.

I do find it a bit interesting that you chose to back the Cavs with a very big spread (a team clearly reverting back to its trade deadline form, at least for two nights) vs your team in GS getting 2 point in a spot where you think HOU will have to “play to perfection” to win!

The latter given you know that team better than any other seems like a far more attractive spot!

I don’t know what to make of that game. Warriors weren’t going to sweep and this was the obvious game to lose?

That sets you up nicely for Saturday to back the “All-In for the Cavs in Game 3” spot.

Their average winning margin at home is 1.5 points.

As a -5 or more home fave the Cavs are 7-23-2 ATS.

They are a historically bad covering team at home. 

We have not witnessed such a level of spread fuckery ever as NBA gamblers.

How the hell they made the 'Final 4' is amazing in itself.

You bet these guys at your own peril.

Scal, the Warriors looked like a team that was happy with a split. They also got full of themselves because they beat the Rockets in game 1 despite playing a poor game. If the Warriors have a weakness this year it is that they rely on Durant too much. Also, Curry is gimpy like he was a couple of years ago. Despite all of this, they are a much more complete team than the Rockets and I expect a big win in game 3. Those Rocket scrubs won't play the way they did at Oracle.

I would normally agree but not this Cavs team.  They just aren’t that good, you’re hoping for so many things to happen for the Cavs that haven’t happened yet.

Poor game?  Gsw shot almost 50/40/90 as a team and scored 119 pts.
