I am not saying this is how the W’s/Celtics finals will go but it was roughly 20 years ago when a young and talented 76rs team humbled the defending champion Lakers at home in game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals and we all know how that series turned out: 4-1 Lakers.
Let’s not all just jump on the Boston band wagon just yet. If the Ws lose game 2, well, that’s a completely different situation right there. That said, if I am going to place a GOY pick, it will be this Saturday Game 2 W’s whatever the line for $11k to win $10k.

Golden Bait Warriors are done. They could lose to Boston any other way except by blowing a double digit lead in the 4th quarter. Don't care how experienced or prestigious these Warriors are, that kind of loss could mess up the mindset of any team. Right now the Celtics will be in their heads. They delivered the sucker punch and set the tone. their brand of bully ball will give Warriors all sorts of trouble like in the Memphis series except Boston can shoot way better. Tatum played a terrible game and they still won it. Celtics may just be the better overall and hungrier team. I have no interest in taking Warriors to bounce back in game 2 or for the rest of the series. Wouldn't surprise me if C's win game 2 , split in Boston. And finish Golden Bait in 5 or 6 games. Kinda reminds me of 2008 when the Celtics bullied the Lakers in the Finals. I knew Celtics would take 1 on the road but was expecting it to be game 2. Still stewing obviously..
Sip on that plus money honey!

You raise some very valid and legit points but let’s just not read too much into game 1 of the finals. You cite 2008 but I could just as easily say see 2010 where BOS and the Lakers each stole a game on the road and the Lakeshow ultimately took out your Celts in game 7. Point is, this series could very well go the distance as most experts predict a 6 or 7 games series irrespective of who wins. So enjoy the show cuz personally I hate both the Celts and Lakers (as I grew up in Detroit so I am a diametrically opposed to those teams as I am a BadBoys, Pistons backer to the core!) which is why I am backing the W’s. Also, I am a Spartan alum so obviously a Dray Dray fan, but my era was the 2000 NCAA championship team with J Rich, Mo-Pete, Mateen Cleaves, Charlie Bell, Andre Hutson etc. In fact, I used to play AAU ball with the Flinstones back in the day.

You also said the script was leaked when they ESPN said that game one would be played in San Fran. It did not matter if the Heat or Celtics won that series Golden State was going to host the first two games What say you about that
